What a great lil place....well not so little. I didn't know what to expect as there isn't too much on the website but was very pleased with this campground. Surrounded by trees and hills it feels like you are in Vermont or New Hampshire...almost...We camp at a lot of random places and this is the top 5. Nice big level sites, very dog friendly (they even have poo bags and a lil dog park). There are a lot of seasonal sites...sometimes you find seasonal campers who do not like the weekenders...but not here! Super friendly. You can walk all around the lake and your site should have more than enough room for outside games. No store to speak of...which I really wanted to walk away with a hoodie or shirt but that won't stop me from coming back! Such a deal for the money. Management was very accommodating! Like I said we will visit again. We did not have school age children to bring but it seems like a great place for them to play and ride bikes...so many kids having a blast! A bon fire at night and a band on...

We were experiencing some problems with our RV, and he so graciously helped my husband dismantle the awkward and heavy, broken slide topper and put it inside our RV. We got our much needed rest overnight and continue on our path to Georgia! Thank you Pete and Forest Lake for meeting our need. May God...

The owner Peter met us at the gate and took us directly to our site overlooking the lake within the campground and then came back with paperwork for our stay. We walked around the lake which is a mile stroll and were pleased to see the spaciousness of the campsites. The field adjacent to our site was big enough to be a full sized football field. This campground was the best private campground we have stayed at in ten years plus...
