We really enjoyed the eight days we spent at the Webber Hotel this July. Not a conventional hotel at all – no front desk or any other hand-holding – it was more like upscale college housing with very nice amenities. We entered the front door with an assigned access code, then up 20 steps to the residents' entry hall, which led to a nice community kitchen with a shared fridge, a toaster, at least a couple different coffee makers – drip and espresso – a microwave, and best of all, a stacked commercial washer and dryer. The cupboards were fully stocked with nice stoneware dishes and we simply washed the plates we used, dried them, and put them away. Our apartment/room (the "Deluxe", with gold door) also had a number-coded lock, so no fumbling for key or card and no worries about forgetting the key and locking ourselves out. Our quarters were spacious, with a bedroom big enough for a queen bed, side tables, a small closet, and an antique chest of drawers. The living room included a comfy sofa sleeper, a coffee table, an old trunk just inside the door, two antique style chairs (one with a matching upholstered footstool!) and a small writing desk with room for my laptop and even my keyboard when the center drawer was extended. The room was well lit, with a ceiling fan light plus a couple floor lamps. Very nice bathroom, with a modern, water-saving toilet, a large sink, and a shower over tub, all sparkling clean. Both the living area and the bathroom had a large window for natural light and we could see our car in the rear lot, where we felt quite secure leaving it. Living area and bedroom each had its own mini-split air conditioner which kept us as cool as we wanted to be. We had brought a couple extension cords in case outlets were scarce, but the place has clearly been redone to all modern standards and codes and outlets were more than sufficient. Though we were visiting family and friends in Medina and Middleport and seeing sights in Lockport and Buffalo, Lyndonville felt comfortably close to everything and was a nice place to come home to, being picturesque and interesting in its own right. On one exploratory drive, we passed a young Amish girl driving a horse-drawn buggy and I also crossed paths with an pleasant, older Amish couple in the bank a couple doors down. We made a point of getting food from both of the pizza joints on the block and also enjoyed the fabulous hot fudge sundaes offered at Hojack's Ice Cream Shack. The Webber Kitchen Collaborative downstairs is really cute, brews good coffee, and has nice food; I bought the same breakfast sandwich twice – the one with Chipotle mayo was so good – and my husband enjoyed the scone he chose, too. The hours are somewhat limited and vary each day. Finally, there's a Dollar General within walking distance, a nice bonus. We would recommend the Webber without reservation and look forward to returning when we can bring our...
Read moreWhat a cool and comfy place to stay! My husband and I booked last minute for our daughters wedding (original plans fell through), and we found this gem near the church and venue, but yet away from the noise of the city. We were pleasantly surprised! Robert was in contact with us making sure we had the codes to get in, and checked in to see how our stay was going and if we needed anything. We stayed in the Gold Room, which had a separate space for the bedroom, lots of space, very clean bathroom, and an eclectic, cozy feel. There was a common kitchen area with a washer and dryer, and a cute café downstairs that offered breakfast and lunch. Bill's Sub Shop is also a 1/2 block away and yum--best subs ever! Was such a nice stay! We will...
Read moreAbsolute hidden gem!! We found this hotel, last minute, and very glad we did. Our room was very welcoming and spacious. Has an "old school" vibe, with an old fireplace and some rustic designed shelves and furniture, mixed with modern amenities, such as dimmer switches on all lights and separate switches for ceiling fans. Bed was very comfortable. Sliding barn doors separated the bedroom from the main room, which really helped keep the room nice and dark for a relaxing sleep. Bathroom was big enough for 2 to easily get around each other to get ready.
We will definitely stay...
