Camp Conley LLC — Hotel in Townsend Township

I am blown away with our experience at Camp Conley. We drove 6 hours down from northern Michigan and had discussed arriving at 7:00 pm with Barb, who was incredibly welcoming, even over the phone. We ended up having some delays and did not arrive until 12:30 am, nearly 6 hours later, and she could not have been nicer about the whole thing. She met us with firewood and led us to our electric tent site, which was incredibly charming, and set up with everything we could need. It was clear after having a look around that the owners have put their heart and souls into this, and it was just beautiful. All the accommodations and the private feel of the place, made us feel right at home. I prefer this homey experience to a fancy rv campground or Koa anyday. This is the best campground I have ever been to. It is quaint, out of the way and it has the BEST ambiance when the sun starts to set. I am in ‘the woods’ area; the area for tents plus there’s a small cabin to rent. There is electricity, fire rings and adorable bistro tables for all. I have never been so comfortable at a park before. They have a small playground, a fishing pond, very clean porta potties and a unique outdoor shower!! I’ve never showered outside before but it’s a whole new experience! Barb would offer a personal hello if she saw me out walking but nobody bothered me. I’ve spent my life growing up camping in state parks national forest’s middle of the desert everywhere you can imagine seeing beautiful areas. From Colorado to Ohio and all surrounding areas. I spent a weekend out at camp conely and it brought back every family memory of camping growing up. Barb was wonderful camp Conley is the only campground that truely brings an at home feel from the moment you pull in until the moment you leave.
