Beautiful location in the West River valley. The family that runs it is super nice, and maintains a clean property with fantastic grassy sites. They cater to groups very well, because of this we have been returning yearly for ten years now. Decent playground for the kids. There isn't a pool, but the West River is the star of the show. Great casual tubing river and the kids can safely wade in the river right at the campground. Bring your own tubes. Many sites are very sunny and grassy, but there are some with fantastic shade trees if you ask for them. For this type of campground, I give them 5 stars. I only gave 4 stars so as not to mislead those looking for a 5 star level RV park. Overall, best value in all of...
Read moreI use to have a trailer at this camp ground for years. It really is a great camp ground . They have their own store with all the essentials. Plenty of trailer spaces on the river. It's an Amazing tubing river As well the townsend dam opens up. I believe it's once a day and you're able to tube down. the river is not very deep, mostly shallows, but just enough water to Go.now. It's a good 2 hour float from the d* down to the bald mountain campground, it's great. They have a club house too.Where quite a few different organizations put on like square Dance. Etc. Bathrooms are always kept neat and clean. Highly recommend...
Read moreHad a great experience tent camping, despite the rainy weather. We intended to stay for 2 nights but a family emergency came up. The owners refunded us for the 2nd night, which they didn't have to do. We had campsite B1 which was close to the office and the restrooms. The campsite was roomy and clean. The price per night for camping was very good. The firewood was more than reasonable, $3 per bundle and was based on the honor system. We ended up picking up a bundle in the evening and early morning and paid once the office was open. Definitely will be back, hopefully for a longer...
