This was an interesting experience. We needed a place to stay for one night on a cross country road trip and chose to find somewhere cheap but safe. After reading all these reviews we decided to give it a chance. We had some phone problems going through the mountains but eventually we got our room booked for us and our pup! Upon immediate arrival i was nervous. This place needs some TLC, and the inside proved the same way. Lady at the front was way too eager to get us booked on the phone but she meant well, just was a lot to take in when booking a hotel. She didn’t book us a pet room after she had confirmed we had a pet then told us we never told her we had a dog on the phone. i assured her i did and she said she thought i was joking when i mentioned a pup. So did she know or not? Thankfully she had a pet room to put us in, and we got our key, they should really tell people about the locks as they do not lock with a key but have a timer or something. it confused us at first. The Inn REAKED of urine and for some reason pot roast. It smelt so bad i was actively gagging getting to my room. She also informed us of a “dog run” in the back by the dumpster. We take our pup out back and see what looks like this 8X10 chain link fenced in spot that was located in between a dumpster and some trees. No space to run, not well kept and i would never let my pup go in there. We come back inside and now the pot roast smell has wafted into our room and to make it worse the AC was not cooling down the room so it smelt like muggy pot roast. bed was okay as far as comfortability, but room felt dirty to us since it smelt so bad, the bed was also about a foot from the wall with only one nightstand making it difficult for two sleepers. Could benefit from centering the bed in the room and adding another nightstand. there was tearing and peeling of the floor under the bed so maybe it’s covering something up? Overall, if you have to, it’s fine for a night, but for 140$ i at least expect it to feel clean and smell good. it wasn’t bad i just want...
Read moreWell getting stuck in stuck in Tremonton,UT turned out to be a blessing in disguise!!! After calling a couple of the motels in the area we decided to give the Western Inn a call since our truck was going to be in the shop for a couple days we needed a place to stay that wasn't 2 or $300 a night, and what an absolute gem this Motel is. I'm giving it 5 stars because from the check-in at the front counter to check out it was just an absolute great experience. The whole Motel is done in a western chic style with plaques and pictures on the walls that it makes you feel like you're home and the room had just an absolutely spacious comfortable queen size bed and all the amenities in there the one thing it didn't have was a microwave i was kind of happy for that 😁.but from 6:30 to 10 every morning to have a hot breakfast in their little breakfast kitchen and they even have a little tiny wooden table for the little ones to sit at and enjoy breakfast.we absolutely couldn't be happier staying there and would recommend it to anybody traveling along the I-15 i-84 corridor coming from Boise if you're coming from Pocatello South to salt lake City and you want an absolute great experience to just stay in a room and enjoy will the Western in is the place that you want to stop at and it's conveniently located right across the street from three different fast food places including Burger King which is right next to you McDonald's and Wendy's across the street and a wonderful little Mexican place at the truck stop gas station directly across the street called poblano's but I'm saddened to hear that they may not be there for very much longer but anyways it's an absolute great place wonderful people great staff and they make you feel like instead of checking into a motel like you're...
Read moreWe stayed here due to inclement weather forcing an early stop to our travel day on a road trip. The rooms are pleasant enough, but extremely dated. Older decor, fixtures, furniture. Looks like only the TV has been updated, but we didn't use it to see how new. The bathroom fan was LOUD. It definitely should be replaced. The rooms had a different layout than I often encounter. The lavatory sink was outside the bathroom, for better or worse, and the closet was awkwardly placed at the far end of the room. They don't have individual coffee makers, but the breakfast room probably has it all day. I liked the fresh cookies as a nice touch. I also appreciate the bulk soap and shampoo dispensers and the small cloths for small spills. The amount of plastic waste I often see in hotels just to wash your hands is not great, so this gesture is one I wish I saw more widely. Breakfast was your usual cold affair with the exception of the coffee and an automatic pancake machine that was fun for the kids. There were no hot proteins, however. Only cold overly boiled eggs or sugary fruit yogurt cups. The fruit selection was good, with a good variety that was both not too ripe or unripe. Excellent selection of teas. Overall, a good accommodation, though I'd honestly expect a price about 25-30% less than we paid for a...
