Troy Motel — Hotel in Troy Township

Let me start off by saying this was the only motel near by and we had already paid when booked over the phone. They over booked and tried to get us to leave. Service at the front desk was laughable on our first visit up there. They gave us keys for our room and when we went to check it out, there were people in the room. So we were told to come back in 1.5 hours and our rooms would be ready. It is now 5 pm... We came back at 8, 3 HOURS LATER, and only one room was ready. The lady at the desk this time was different and she was very nice but still only had one room ready. We finally got checked into the second room at about 9 pm. There was a lot of tension with the first lady that was in the second room helping clean it at 9 pm and she was very upset that we were standing there waiting on her to finish and was extremely hateful and rude. She used racial slurs against the owner and said he wouldn't care if we complained to him because they have no other motel in the area. ||||The rooms did smell like disinfectant but your nose gets used to it pretty quick and the sheets were clean. No bedbugs in the room I stayed in. I am going up again this week so hopefully it will be a better experience, will update...

Was utterly shocked when I entered the office, the hotel Manager was not profesional in ANY sense of the word, negotiated a deal because I would be staying for a while. Was supposed to be put in one the "nicer" rooms... it as old and very dated, no flat screen tv, the room had a musty smell, the bathroom was filthy, I had to bug bomb the room because there were spiders ad lord knows whatever else. the trash was ALWAYS full, had to ask for trash bags and sheets. I left the room and some things that I could no longer carry with me. I received a call from the manger and she asked me iwhat to do with the things that I had left. I simply told her to take what she wanted and trash the rest. The owner gets on the phone and proceeds to yell at me , I repeatedly told him NOT to speak me that way but he was very persistant in his tirade and i finally told hi to let me speak to the manager. I told her to tell him not ever speak to me like that again .. she was in tears. Honestly who does that in a supposedly professional environment? Do not stay here, drive 15 miles up the road and stay...

I made a reservation on Expedia for the hotel around 6. Rung the door bell as sign says no one was there. Called the number owner said she would take care of it. After waiting for an hr i had to cancel my reservation which was non refundable. Expedia they suggested that i call the morning to see if they could make an exception to not charge me the 72 dollars for cancellation. When the owner finally got back she was less than apologetic . I decided to stay and finally got to check in around 8.However that was not the end of my adventure. the first room the air did not work. So i requested a new one which the air did work but smelled very strong of pee. After requesting a new room for a third time i suggested that i be placed in where i was 2 days ago which is the room i stayed in for the night. I did get my 20 dollar pet fee waived for the trouble but feel like it was not enough. I would say try to stay in room 4 or closer to the office others are not updated and...
