Me and my family stayed here for 3 days, and the campground is pretty enough, but for our 1st time here, it was not the best experience. There are camp posts on site, they were nice, and they provided us wood at a fair price, however, they do not hold anyone to the 10 PM quiet time rule as stated on the reservation. We were campsite 8 and 9, and a large group was directly to the right of us, and they partied, screamed, and yelled until 3am, and started back up by 10am with the techno music going. The second part is more of a warning for families, and is my fault for not doing more research. There is no running water at the sites, no sinks in the bathroom, and no flushing toilets. The camp hosts do keep the bathrooms clean, and smelling as good as possible, but with a full campground of people, trying to get through the smell in the Port-a potty is rough. The road is a typical dirt and gravel road, but right when you get into the campground, it is extremely rocky, so just be mindful of that. Again, the campground was very beautiful, when it was quiet, it was peaceful, and it is just a short 5 minute drive to Boca Lake, however, when you have a family, flushing toilets and a sink in the bathroom is a necessity for us.

I camped here with a group of friends this past weekend. A solid spot with a good tree cover and clear underbrush. Most of the sites are slanted though, but we were able to find places to pitch tents without too much rolling. The picnic tables and fire rings were in good shape. There was a bear box or two on some sites, but most didn't appear to have them yet. We just put all our food and trash away in the car every night and had no issues. The trees helped the area stay cool and still let enough open sky through. The stars were beautiful and very visible every night as there was very little light pollution. There's a meadow next to the campsite that's a beautiful spot to take in the sunset and see the stars. I didn't have much interaction with the host, but there was some firewood. It's a heavy ATV area, so that was a background noise at times. Overall though, a great time and I already recommended it to a few friends because we were able to book last minute this summer.

Beautiful campground, but ruined by entitled users and lack of Forest Service coverage. The campground itself is great, every site has lots of room. Some back up to the woods, others to the spring itself. Forest floor is more dirt than pine needles, I'm assuming this is intentional with the problems with fires. A nice hike around the spring and the associated creek are pretty relaxing. While we were there, several campsites had 6+ vehicles staying at the standard campsites (not group site) and were driving small ORVs and motorcycles back and forth through the campground and up and down the hill at the north end of the park. I arrived at around 3 PM, but didn't see any rangers until around 9 AM the next morning. I'll skip this campground next time. I realize I was there in high summer but it was unbelievably noisy and busy. Hard to have any quiet with the number of vehicles coming and going.

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with our recent stay at Boca Springs, particularly with the conduct of the host. Unfortunately, our experience was far from pleasant, and I feel compelled to share the specifics of our encounter.

From the moment we arrived, the host displayed an unwelcoming attitude. She has a sign posted that reads, "I can hear grass grow," which initially seemed quirky but quickly proved indicative of her attitude. She didn't greet us; instead, she immediately began making negative remarks about our group.

Our friends have a small child with autism who expressed excitement upon arrival by yelling. The host's response was, "Oh great, we have to deal with this?" This was not only insensitive but incredibly hurtful.

While we were cooking dinner, she approached us and remarked, "Your food is so strong!" We were simply grilling meat. On another occasion, my 14-year-old son went to her campsite to ask a question, and she told him to stay away because her pig would bite him.

As we were preparing to go to the lake, we inadvertently left a hot sauce bottle out. She left a nasty note on our table about it and falsely claimed our fire pit was still smoking, despite us having flooded it with water before we left. She also commented about "smelly food," which I believe was a derogatory remark about our ethnic food.

We had reserved our campsites (numbers 3 and 5) for four days and three nights, but due to the host's behavior, we left after just one night. Her actions made us feel extremely unwelcome and uncomfortable.

I hope that this feedback will be taken seriously and that steps will be taken to prevent such negative experiences for...
