A wonderful experience at prosser family campground with my friends I for my birthday! While it was a stormy weekend and lots of lightning and thunderstorms we had a great time! The grounds were kept clean, the host was super nice and allowed us to take wood before even having the cash to give him which was SO thoughtful with little ones, we later got cash in town to give him. The bathrooms are pretty well stocked it has just been a while since it was serviced to be cleared out which can be expected sometimes during the busiest season. Over all it was a nice campground and my friends favorite to come and visit. Will come back again and would recommend for anyone wanting a less busy campground and is close to town to buy groceries or fishing license.

Beautiful setting. Campsites are nicely spaced apart and Richard the camp host was friendly and helpful. Campground was clean and well kept. Verizon access available. Access to the reservoir is not immediate in the campground. You need to walk/drive down a dirt road that’s definitely 4 wheel drive only or drive down to the boat launch or access via the Lakeside campground. It cools down nicely at night so you sleep well. Easy and quick access to Truckee and Lake Tahoe. Reservoir was great to kayak in. The shore is pretty mucky so not great for swimming. I’d consider it a great base camp for activities in the area but not a destination campground.

We arrived here on aTuesday and stayed 2 nights in late June, 2023. A lot of your camping experience depends on who is camping across from you. First night there was a very loud family with barking dogs and screaming kids. Luckily, they left the next morning and the entire campsite became a great, calm and relaxing experience. Restrooms were clean and the host was very nice. Walked down to the lake and it was beautiful. Would definitely come here again.

Relatively un-crowded late-week, early in the season camping experience. There were people camping with trailers running generators, tent campers and vans.

All parking spots back-in except for one pull through. Just a couple of long (over 45 foot) spaces available. Both online reservations and walk-up sites.

Felt safe here.

Did not use boat launch or any waterfront activities offered.

Will probably make this a regular stop when crossing the Sierras on I-80. Hopefully, next stop will be equally enjoyable and easy.

For those who need more than a flat spot to park or pitch a tent, vault toilets and an exterior cold water faucet for your camping enjoyment, this is probably not your camping...

Their customer service was so bad . I tried to call them so many time to get a refund but noone answer my phone call. And their communication isn't that good . The night before we head up there they only sent me an email that no water available. I'm okay with that but when we showed up , a men walked to us and said that no fire, i can understand that because wild fire all over place. But he said we cant cook anything. No stove , no charcoals. He said i should receive an email about no cook . I showed him that all email he sent me just no water. That's it. We wasted 4hrs from Sac to there for nothing . Now i can't reach them to get my refund . This...
