This place was ok; however we will not be going back because of a very rude woman who works there. I didn't catch her name, but she drives around in the golf cart, has shorter hair, is around 50 years old, and white.

We unexpectedly had our 9 year old niece stay with us to offer some stability from her chaotic home life. This put us at 7 people staying in one site. I KNOW the rule is 6, but we couldn't change the reservations 2 days before. Since our 9 year old niece had never camped before she was looking forward to coming along. That put us at 3 adult and 4 kids, all under 10. Also, none of the adults even drink alcohol.

As we were setting up, this employee stormed in our camp and asked about why we didn't pay for our second car. After discovering she failed to see the parking pass on the dashboard, she turned her fury to the fact that we had 2 dogs and states she "hoped we didn't have a third" since it was against the rules. Then, after learning we just had the 2, she realized we had 7 people in the sight and the stupid woman acted like we had caused world war 3. After 5 minutes of yelling at us, I told her there were 2 options. She could leave, or we could leave. I get it, we broke a rule. Tell us calmly that you have 0 tolerance for a quiet, non-drinking, family of 7 since the max number is 6 and I would leave quietly. She continued to complain another 3 minutes, telling us a ranger may come and kick us out, then she drove away

I had to spend the next 15 minutes convincing my little timid niece that it wasnt her fault and the lady was just having a bad day. I appreciated the "teachable moment" but she really didn't need more stress in her life.

If I could offer one piece of advice for this angry woman, it would be to pick your battles and treat people respectfully. Your behavior was uncalled for. You could have conveyed your concerns in a professional manner, rather than acting like a 2 year old who wasn't...

Overrun. No camping etiquette. Rude people. Dogs everywhere. No leashes. Heavy enforcement of parking, but that's it. No rules being followed or enforced. ZERO QUIET TIME mainly by folk with trailers. Rules don't apply to people with trailers or RVS. Lawlessness. Avoid the area unless day use only. Do not bring families there. People who like to fight and...

U.S. taxpayers BLM have done a marvelous job here. Great campsites. Fresh running clean mountain water. Basic, whole in the ground, bathroom's. Outstanding fishing in stocked lake. Only a few miles to freeway.

A fantastic spot to be near some water when you dont want to deal with the crowds around Lake Tahoe. Tons of beach side spots around the reservoir, very quiet, lots of wildlife.

Great lake, never heard of it till today. Wish I had known about it earlier this year, would love to take my kayak out there!
