I camped here for 3 nights in May 2025. A clean comfortable campsite, the perfect location with lots of trees, a beautiful creek, amazing hiking trails with some that back up to National forests, and you can see many stars at night. There are great mountain bike trails too (did not have my bike on this trip). The campsite is comfortable and spacious, I was using my two man tent on this trip. There are restrooms, with showers and a sink outside the restrooms to wash your dishes. The camp hosts were friendly, helpful and flexible. When the campsites weren't full yet in the early season they had a great recommendations for a site right next to the creek and swapped my reservation. They provided useful information on the campground, hiking trails and the surrounding area. Downtown Truckee is a short drive away if needed (12 minutes). I highly recommend this campground and plan to stay here again.

the area was under a strict no fires allowed, so we couldn't have a campfire:( It was 30 degrees at night! Also, missed where it said on the site that you couldn't smoke on the premises. campsites are very close to one another as well.

Car camped in the Tesla here. Cost $55 to rent a spot for the night. Woke up with a full charge and refreshed & ready for my next day of the road trip! Love this car! RV spots are great for EVers!! ❤️🌈

This place goes in our records as our first camping experience with our new travel trailer. We don't have much to compare with, but the site was perfect for us, and hookups were all there (electrical, water, sewage). Unfortunately there are wildfires in the region, making our experience smokey but not dangerous.

We have T-Mobile and we're getting 1 bar LTE, so it works but not too reliable. They have a site wifi we used, but it's download/upload speeds were 10/2 Mbps respectively, so not great, but useable.

There is a road nearby that gets some traffic, which we could hear sometimes, but it did not distract. Safeway is 15 min away, as is the beautiful town of Truckee. So we're sure...

The campground itself is awesome. In Tahoe Donner, close to lakes & bike trails, lots of shade, big sites. However, the camp hosts were the rudest, angriest, most argumentative people I have ever met in my life. They came into our sites raring for a fight on 3 occasions. The 3rd time I tried to end the discussion multiple times but Carol kept coming up with something else to yell at us about. And it wasn’t just us because we overheard other campers talking about how rude and awful they are while in the bathrooms. It’s a shame because the campground itself is awesome. But we will NEVER be going back, entirely because of the hosts and how...
