Ute Lake State Park, NM — Hotel in Tucumcari

Peaceful, beautiful setting. Well-maintained camp sites with water and electricity, clean bathrooms and showers. The lake is an unusual find in the otherwise arid region. The night sky views are absolutely unbeatable- we saw the milky way and shooting stars. We even saw a group of wild turkeys wandering the lake shore the next morning. Very reasonable prices. I went end of Sept 2024 it is very remote and desolate , appeared to be off season very few people there. I Loved the quiet and beauty. It was the rest I needed. All the showers were cold tho.
