We had such a wonderful visit on our first trip to Cedar Point Campground that we immediately planned another trip back, just a few weeks later. Here are a few things that stood out to me: Cleanliness - This campground is the cleanest campground that I have ever seen. The dump station seemed to have new gravel and it even looked like a street sweeper had been through to clean recently. The sites were picked up and we had no issues of any "gifts" left from camping dogs. :) The bathhouse (conveniently located in the center) and lawn are maintained very well, also. Space - There is plenty of room to explore (be sure to ask Tara about the fossils), go for a walk and enjoy the scenery (especially in the fall!). Bring your boat, kayaks and bikes to enjoy. Family-friendly but also quiet enough for a couple's getaway. Views - This campground is part of the TVA and sits right on Normandy Lake. The sites are slightly offset from each other so they all have a view of the water. There's a swimming area, easy access to the water for kayaks and boats and the boat ramp is just down the street. Location - About 20 minutes from a store, you'll get the true relaxing camping experience. Make sure you bring plenty of everything you'll need so you don't have to go out, since it will likely take at least an hour to get there and back. There is a campground store with a few items in case you need something quickly. Management - Marc and Tara are incredible campground managers. They are present anytime they are needed and are constantly checking to see if anybody is short on firewood or ice. They are extremely friendly and welcomed us on each visit like we were old friends. This campground books up quickly so be sure to snag your spot. There are a few seasonal campers but the sites are kept up with well. We had sites 8, 10 and 30 during our stays, and loved them all. If I could rate Cedar Point, and Marc and Tara, higher than 5 stars, I certainly would.

Grass: When we pulled up to the campsite we reserved, we noticed the long grass in all the primitive sites, but it was obvious all the other sites had been mowed. A primitive site means no water or electricity. Make sure to mow all sites to help visitors by decreasing the amount of ticks on the property. Fire pit: Some of the sites have their fire pit so close to the picnic bench that you may catch your screened tent around the bench on fire. Make sure to check that when you are determining which site to reserve. Bathrooms: The restrooms in the campground were not cleaned the entire time we stayed. Spiders were under the toilet seat lid and on the toilet paper dispensers. Plus, they were filthy! Showers: You are unable to adjust the temperature on all showers on the property. The showers in the campground area are so incredibly hot that you cannot even stand in the water to rinse. Use the showers in the beach/day use area. They are not scolding hot. Last time I camped here, the couple who ran the campground were on the grounds greeting, helping, and talking with guests. I did not see anyone like this the entire time I was there. That was a great feature I remember from my last visit. Please do a better job at keeping up your property for your guests and their children.

Some back work rose coming into park. But very worth having some patience. Very beautiful site. The managing team (Marc and Tara) is awesome. They bend over backwards to accommodate your every wish. They keep the campsites and the whole park pristine clean. They clean the restrooms about three times a day. We were camped right across from them so I know that for a fact. They come around every now and then and see if you have everything you need or if there’s anything they can do for you. The restrooms are very old and out of date. They need to be completely rebuilt. But they are extremely clean. The men’s restroom did not even have a bench to sit on. I am handicapped in this very difficult for me to put my shoes on without sitting down. Temperature is pretty cool in October, and there are no heaters in the restrooms. There are no lights above the mirrors that would make Cheviot a lot better. My wife was pretty concerned about taking a shower at the facility because there is no way to lock the door while you are in there. I would think that might be a security breach. Mark and Tara want to get more money allocated so they can do more with the restrooms and some other things. I am sure they have received many questions and complaints about the restrooms. However, it is clearly plain to see that they are doing all they can with what they have. I was very impressed with the cleanliness. I hope Mark and Tara will stay here for many years. You can tell that they take great pride in keeping this park shipshape. My wife and I will certainly be bad. Steve...

We stayed from Thursday till Monday in a Camper and had the best time of our lives. We celebrated our 20th Year Anniversary and had the most wonderful experience with new friends we made there and the most awesome people running it. Rick Sheley (the manager) Is amazing! He keeps the area clean outside and inside the bathrooms. His managing with his helpers have improved the area extremely. We made friends with the seasonal members that stay there a lot and they said this place has never been so good! Rick Sheley really made a HUGE difference in the way this place looks and the great service they offer here. They have a store that offers everything. The ladies and men that run the park and the small store onsite are amazing. Nice and professional. ||We will be staying here again for a couple of reasons. Because the location and service you get when you stay here and to see the new friends we have made here. It was an amazing experience! They had their first annual Memorial Day Fish & Turkey Fry with Crab Boil and sooooooo Much more food there with Amazing deserts! Music and Games for us to play with our new friends we made there. ||Ill end with this. Our 20th Anniversary couldn't have been better! Perfect way to celebrate our special day! Thank you, Rick Sheley and his great employees, for making our stay so wonderful. God Bless,...
