My husband and I stayed in this warm, cozy B&B for a cold night in November. It's definitely off the beaten path. Gorgeous facilities nestled amongst woods and hills with a small town nearby if in need of anything. There's a large wrap around porch with plenty of comfortable outdoor seating and cushioned corner swing baskets. The surrounding woods provide a very quiet and peaceful outdoor experience whether reclining on the porch, sitting by the fire pit, swimming in the above-ground pool, or going for a walk/hike.
As soon as you enter the facility, you are greeted with a spacious and welcoming open floor plan which starts with a kitchen and gathering area. The kitchen is modern and extremely clean. The gathering area has wonderful reclining couches with charging stations, internet, fireplace, flat-screen television, cathedral ceilings, and lots of windows. There are stairs leading to a loft where the kids can hang out to play with toys that are provided.
There are 4 rooms for sleeping. We were in the Covered Bridge room. The décor is minimal and rustic – not overwhelming, and very comfortable and homelike. The mattress was fantastic with plenty of quality pillows for both of us, comfortable sheets, and cozy quilt atop. The bathroom was so clean and extremely spacious – double sinks, large walk-in shower, and sets of thick, fluffy towels to use.
Breakfast was filling and homestyle! Upon check-in, we were able to circle from a list what we would be interested in for breakfast – there were so many choices: bacon, sausage, scrapple, eggs, waffles, french toast, coffee, juices, milk, etc... All quality ingredients and homemade! The owners sat and chatted with us through breakfast providing us a pleasant start to our day.
At Snyder Knob B&B, you get so much more than for what you paid. Thank you, Rob and Joy, for a great experience. We will...
Read moreOff the beaten path, you will find a beautiful and rustic log cabin to getaway! The fall foliage surrounding the property were at peak colors which made our stay even more magical. Upon entering the scenic driveway to the log cabin, we just loved the handmade log built inside and out, that was obviously built with care and precision. From the center fireplace, with theater seating and a big screen tv to the upstairs game and kids play room, to each unique room that also has tv's in each room. The wrap around deck, with lounge chairs provided throughout the deck is our favorite to get views from all angles. Grab a cup of Joe and take in the relaxation. Our room had a side bathroom in the hallway that was our own. We had a plentiful walk in closet and a patio door to lead us out to the wooden deck. In the lower level is man made for weddings and parties. A outdoor pool is seasonal and I know my hubby would love that on a summer stay-cation! Bob & Joy are phenomenal. So friendly, humorous, and down to earth owners. They go aboard and beyond in making our stay so special & comforting. Joy also has a hair salon, bonus if you need a haircut! Breakfast has many delicious selections to choose from omelets, eggs, waffle, French toast with bacon to the basic cereal. Water bottles are always provided to guests. Coffee, milk and juices are also available. The price of each night is extremely reasonable. Well worth the serenity, calmness and much needed break from life! Wi-Fi friendly, microwave available in the kitchen for public use and a counter ice machine. Without a doubt we will return. Incomparable to any hotel, which there are none worthy in the vacinity and if there were, this log cabin B&B, hands down would beat it. Book...
Read moreFirst time they ever held a wedding at their venue. Was told venue holds 150 people, 130 is what we had and it was tight!!! Had one bathroom for all those people and only had one toilet for men and women. Owners were so involved to the point where they left their family members and themselves be part of the wedding guests! Family members coming and going through the venue while bride and party were getting ready. Got upset when the bride asked them to leave because she was setting up and organizing her own decorations. More interested in setting up everything themselves so they could get great pictures to promote venue for future weddings. Had catering staff hired by bride and groom wear their shirts to again promote their business. Hostess Joy put herself into a dispute between the bride and hired person when money was missing. That never should have happened!!! That was between bridal couple and person hired, not hostess. This was after the wedding. Would not recommend this venue for a wedding or big event until they had more experience. Imagine people walking around your space where you have your possessions all the time because they don’t believe in locking doors!!!! Should give...
