We've been camping here since July of 2021 the rooms aren't comfortable and the beds are really hard so we chose to stay in our RV. a month ago they started this pool party package so Now whoever pays to stay can NOT use the pool while the people who pay for the pool package have there parties. I usually stay out of the pool because it is freezing cold and when guests walk in they let in more cold air . This week April 21st 2024 they changed the rules of the pool area as well. The guest that have been going for years no longer can go in if you pay for your stay NOW they only allow 4 guests to use the pool and that is if it's unoccupied. The additional guests have to pay$15 when before the pool pass was 10 for customers that just wanted to go to the pool, not guests that where staying. So we paid our stay and let 4 of our children go in the pool because that's what they require while my husband watched over them. Yet they charged the additional $15 for my husband sitting not in the pool but in the pool area to supervise the children. Also we had to wait for the pool to be unoccupied by the pool party hours. There's no attractions or anything big but two swings and sand dirt in the back of the lots so we had to sit in the RV all the Hours because even walking outside the lake is infront of this location so you get all of the cold breeze. This is the second time we've had to wait for a pool party to finish because we came on Easter this year. We drive 1:44mins to this place. Like I said not once not twice several times! Even in the slowest seasons, yet we are not appreciated. I see this place isn't for family it's for the rich now! With no heaters in the pool or upgrades in anything. We've even stayed without water or left earlier then the time we scheduled and paid for. We had no issues sharing common areas nor the pool in the past years . What they call safety standards NOW to make a profit before was just camping and we had to...

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Village Inn On The Lake Hotel & RV Park, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome. They went above and beyond to accommodate our needs, ensuring that our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Their warmth and attentiveness truly made a difference.

The cleanliness of the entire facility was impressive. The rooms were spotless, and the common areas were well-maintained, creating a pleasant environment that made us feel right at home. It’s clear that the team takes great pride in keeping everything in top shape.

One of the highlights of our stay was the eBikes available for rent. These bikes were in excellent condition and made exploring the area an absolute breeze. Riding along the scenic paths with Lake Michigan in the background was nothing short of amazing.

Speaking of fun, the mini golf course was a blast! It was surprisingly well-designed, and we had so much fun playing a few rounds. The pool area was another great feature, offering a refreshing dip and a great place to relax after a day of activities.

The location of the Village Inn is perfect for those who want to explore the area. Being so close to Lake Michigan and the bike path made it incredibly easy to get around town and enjoy everything the state park has to offer. Whether you’re looking for adventure or relaxation, this place has it all.

Overall, I can’t recommend the Village Inn On The Lake Hotel & RV Park enough. The exceptional staff, clean facilities, fun activities, and ideal location make it the perfect place for a getaway. We’re already looking forward to...

ETA: The response from the owner below is a lie. No one offered to help with anything. We asked for a different site but they were all full. Yes, we were offered the bathroom and shower, only until 9pm, as I previously stated it isn't available all night, something important for fellow campers to know. I am still just trying to recieve a refund. My family and I were scheduled to stay here last week. When we arrived we discovered that the sites were actually too small for our family to have a fire and eat dinner. We literally had to do so next to the neighbor's sewer hose. There is not a campground bathroom available during the night, just a port a potty outside. The campground is not on the lake, it's on the other side of a four lane highway that runs next to the lake. It was very loud, and too dangerous to be that close with small children. My family had to find another campsite for the two nights we planned to be there. I have not yet been issued a refund, despite the clerk assuring it would happen, and leaving multiple messages for a manager. DO NOT RECOMMEND this campground if you have any small children or don't want to sleep 6 feet from your neighbors.

I was really surprised by this place. Our room was huge, and came with a full kitchen, plus everything you'd need to cook and eat with. It had a BIG hot tub with nice jets, a (faux) fireplace with heat, a private deck, and a nice, big, comfy bed. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, and recommended a great place for a fish fry (Port Sandy Bay). The hotel has delicious muffins for sale, along with many other things if you forgot anything or need a snack. There is a small bar in the pool area (open until midnight), for those that would like a nightcap without having to drive somewhere. It also has a mini golf course out front. Priced similar to many other hotels we've stayed at ($150/night), but a much nicer room and better experience. We even had a view of Lake Michigan! We highly recommend this place, and look forward to staying there again sometime.

What a beautiful view of Lake Michigan from our room! It's definitely worth the price to wake up feeling like you're on the ocean front each day! There was a salt water pool and hot tub that were clean and well kept along with a cool little bar poolside! They also had an 18-hole mini golf course that was a fun challenge for the family!! Upon arriving, the gentleman working the office and check in desk was very friendly and accommodating! The evening women working in the office were also very friendly and had some suggestions on things to do in the area 😀 The resort and hotel were very well kept and seemed peaceful and quiet throughout our 2 night stay. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back for another stay!
