If I could give this hotel a 0 star review I would. My boyfriend and I went to East Texas to visit family for the weekend, I booked our room and was extremely overcharged. When we arrived the lady at the front desk said her printer and computer were down so we had to fill out our information on a little piece of paper. I was told there would be a printer for guests to use, free WiFi, a continental breakfast, and working appliances. I confirmed this all before booking the room. I was told this was the last room available. My boyfriend and I were the ONLY ones there and every other room was VACANT. We got to our room expecting a decent 1 night stay. We didn’t expect it to be a 5 star hotel but the conditions were DEPLORABLE and worse than we could’ve ever imagined. There was some type of blood or bodily fluid on the microwave, the refrigerator was not plugged in, the bathroom had a tobacco pouch in the shower, there was mold by the toilet and the room smelled of urine. The light was full of dead bugs and half burnt out, the dresser was missing a drawer and the ceilings had cobwebs like no one had stayed in there for ages. My BIGGEST concern was the smoke detector had be REMOVED and the sliding deadbolt latch was broke. We felt so uneasy and disgusted neither of us took a shower or slept at all. Check out was at 12 noon but we left at 5 AM exhausted and disgusted with a 2 1/2...

Beautiful area, plenty of parking and side lot for larger trucks /18-wheelers, etc. Mr. Patel is a good man and will work with those who would like to work at his motel in exchange for room, or to room for a few days at a lower fee as one may be waiting on imminent availability of lower-income housing or an imposition such as storm power outages elsewhere.
A homemade meal restaurant called "Back Porch" is located north on SH 155 in Winona, TX. Also a large truck / vehicle fueling station, goodly - stocked store, and freshly cooked foods such as pizza, sandwiches, and Mexican varieties of fare is located just across the I-20 overpass.
This motel is a very good and peaceful, comfortable place to weather a severe storm and get off the highway for a day, stay until an 18-wheeler is repaired at a truck center just down the eastbound I-20 ramp / access road to FM 3311, or waiting until your AC is fixed on a hot summer day.
Now named "Country Side Inn", it is all...
Read moreMy Freightliner truck had to be towed in to the truck dealer next door and my co-driver and I needed a room for the night. This was the only lodging available for several miles in any direction so we stayed here for the night. ||||The location of this hotel was also out of the coverage area for any places that deliver food- BUT the motel owner was nice enough to go get our pizza that we ordered for the $5 cost of gas. ||||The rooms were ok but will need to be updated before long. They are showing a bit of wear but the beds were comfortable and our stay was very quiet- far enough away from the road noise. ||||This is NOT a 5-star hotel by any means but if sleep and a shower is what you need, this place will do. ||||The motel owner also gave us and our luggage a ride back to the Freightliner dealer after we checked out. ||||The owner of this motel was very helpful and it's obvious he is trying to do right in order to earn business. ||||Heads Up The truck parking area tends to become muddy when it rains and a loaded truck and/or trailer is very likely to get stuck while turning around in there. If your truck is loaded, there's a paved road between the motel and the adult book store that the motel owner...
