I had to cancel my booking due to a family emergency and they would not refund me. When I realized that the $99 cabin was just a bed with a refrigerator I changed my 4 night stay to a 3 night stay in the midsized cabin advertised at $149 per night expecting the price to stay the same around $575. My card ended up being charged $1200 dollars and that made it really hard for me to enjoy my time. I did not see any " weekend" and "peak season" pricing on the website. I had the impression from the website that kayaking was included for guests. I rented a tandem kayak for what Jen and I agreed would be 4 hours but was charged for 8 hours for $88 and change. We were shoved into the water and within a minute the plug came floating up from the kayak and our clothes were soaked as we took on water. There is a busy state route between the cabins and the lake so no lake access and the view from Yosemite cabin was a tree and the roof of the office, barely able to see the lake. Heard traffic including semi trucks roaring by all the time including all night. Wish I had read reviews before I booked. Lots of others with...
Read moreOverall, we had a great stay with a few small hiccups. We reserved one of the A-Frames. The A-frames are a short walk to the community bathroom/showers, not a big deal except I'm old and there is usually a 3:00 am bathroom break needed. Luckily, there is an upscale outhouse halfway between the A-Frame and the main bathhouse. Make sure you take a flashlight. Although the path is light, it is still very dark, and there are creatures in those woods lol. The bathrooms/showers were short on toilet paper the first day and out on the second. They needed attention on the second day. The sink had been broken in the one bathroom the night before, and the shower head holder was broken in the other. There wasn't anyone on-site, and I'm guessing that is because it was a holiday weekend. We did mention the TP situation to the General Store staff on the first day, and they said they would let someone know. Again, overall we had a nice stay and will be back again. The area is beautiful with...
Read moreDecided to take my husband on a over night trip as he works a lot (EMS/Fire). They offer military discounts but not first responders. The lady I booked with was so nice. I believe her name was Connie she walked me through everything. I have to say the owners thought of everything in their resort. We went with the A frame cabin watch was all we needed. I loved that they had a (clean) out house close by. As for the other bathhouse, it was only a short walk away and was so clean. The store also a short walk away had every thing needed and the food was so good. On-site was a (community fire pit swing pool table and arcade games. The cabin, even had a little welcoming sign with our names watch took me by surprise. I loved all the extra time and though the owners put into this resort and only 45 mins away from us. My only complaint I would have to say is the bed and pillow. Not the most comfortable I had. And I wish they allowed more 1 night stays in the summer. Definitely...
