We are members of Coast to Coast and opted to stay here for 14 days. Great experience checking in with the young girl on duty. She was extremely friendly and helpful. Apparently all the 50amp service is next to the hiway and the 30amp is in the back. So constant hiway noise but nothing all that bad. The train whistle was a bit distracting since it's early in the morning. We flipped the rig so the bedroom was facing away, but noise is noise. It's a pretty place. Grassy with some trees. Definitly needs a bit of maintenance on the electric and water hookups and the septic was setup a bit strange but not overcomeable. We were warned about one of the older managers and while we were there one customer was told to leave because their dogs were off the leash for a few seconds. They were next to us and they had opened their door and the two pups got out but stayed by their rig. They were told to leave for that. Another neighbor was taking their dog for the morning constitutional and had the bag ready. They were yelled at to clean up after their $#@%ing dog by this lady. Since they were, it was a bit strange to observe. They were actually told to vacate but, after calling the owners, things calmed down. Other than that it's been rather pleasant and quiet with friendly neighbors. People come and go pretty regularly and there are a few long term people. Facilities are clean and the pool is nice. Horseshoe pitts need work. There's an arena next door that sometimes has local events to watch. The town has a store and a few local businesses, but there are places 15 to 20 miles down the freeway that have major businesses. Pecans and peaches are a big thing with a few farms to visit. There is propane available and the people were very helpful in getting us to where we needed to be since the filling tank is in a bit of an awkward place. We're 7 days in so far so we'll see...

This is listed as an RV "RESORT" ! Not sure what qualifies as a "resort" but to our surprise this place does not. Let me answer some typical questions people usually ask about places to stay : QUIET ? Most of this "Resort" is within 150 yards of Interstate 75 giving you highway traffic noise through the night. There are train tracks across the highway in heavy use with 3 to 5 trains passing between midnight and 6am (and they love their train horns) ! SPACIOUS ? There are 2 sections to the "resort" , one is single sites hookups and the other is dual site hookups. What I mean is that in 1 section the pedistal for connecting is for 2 sites side by side close together. The single pedistal sites have SLIGHTLY more room. SITES LEVEL ? Sites here are not level but that is because all sites are throughout a grass field next to a horse farm/yard. Any rain results in mud field throughout. WIFI ? WiFi is available and is free but ONLY within limited distance to the office. There are no repeaters to boost the WiFi through the grounds and cell service is hit or miss as to working or not. ANY PLUSES ? The ONLY thing this "resort" has going for it is that there is a very large, semi-well kept field with a pond for fishing and picnicing. This pond is located behind the dual pedistal side of the grounds. Though the "resort" is not responsible for the behavior of RVers it has been common practice of people to walk through empty sites to reach the pond resulting in guests rudely cutting through sites ! My recommendation to the "resort" is to close a site or two and make those the access points to the field, but that will probably...

This campground is not fancy and some people will find things to complain about. Daniel and I liked it. The cons: You hear the traffic noise from the highway but, after a day or two, you tune it out. The noise did not keep us up at night. You will also hear a train going by multiple times per day but Daniel loves hearing trains. The sites are small and close together but that’s true for really expensive resorts, too. There are no picnic tables or fire pits at the campsites. There is a community fire pit. There are also some people who live here full time but none of the sites were “junky”. The facilities are older but clean and functional. There is a small putt-putt course, a pool (we didn’t use it because we were there in December), and an older playground. We were told there are new owners who are focusing on fixing up another campground in Florida before fixing this campground up. The pros: The people are really nice. Fellow campers, Scott and Corrine, who are there seasonally, manage the social activities. We joined in on bingo and glass painting. The other campers were super quiet while we were there. We got a great rate with RPI ($9.50 per night). There are plenty of things to do within a 1.5 hour drive. We felt safe in this campground. There are pecan trees throughout the campground and you can pick pecans for...

We like this RV campground for it's convenience to I-75. Most sites are 30 amp power and a few have sewer. Limited number of 50 amp pull through sites that include sewer and cable. Cable signal is usually weak and there is highway noise all night. Caution is warranted for long coaches when crossing the RR tracks from Pine St. to Arena Rd. to avoid being high-sided by the steep hump of the RR crossing . Suggest crossing the RR tracks by traveling North on Pine St. (41) right to RR crossing at Borum St., turning R on E. Railroad St. which becomes Arena Rd. to the campground. We are able to raise our coach and only just cleared them on Speeg Rd. while our tow dolly ramps then drug.
