Underwood Inn — Hotel in Underwood

I was leery, but hopeful that this hotel would be decent for our trip to see family. I was extremely disappointed when I had to use my own Clorox wipes and spend 45 minutes wiping down the roomespecially the bathroomupon arrival. (I had been spoken with the manager prior to our arrival and she confirmed that someone had been there the night before and it would be clean and ready for us to check in.) It was disgusting with hair in the bottom of the shower and 'remains' in the toilet. The towels and sheets appeared to be clean so we stayed because we had nowhere else to go. After three days, not one person had checked on us, had emptied a garbage, nor replaced a towel. A 'cleaning lady' entered the room while I was there and I told her I was just leaving and she could come back and clean. I returned three hours later and the room was in the same horrid condition. I am sad to have spent any amount of money on this room. My relatives know the owners and I was embarrassed to tell them, even after they repeatedly asked how the room was. I wouldn't recommend staying here. Drive an extra 30 miles if you have to. We left the room cleaner than...

The rooms are very clean. It's located in a great area if you have business or something of importance in the surrounding area that you need to get done. The pictures online were slightly deceptive but untimately it ended up being my fault. It shows 3 pictures, 1st being of a living area. In the picture of the living area it has 2 doors. The next picture showed a small bedroom with enough room for the bed and that's basically it, and the 3rd picture showed the bathroom.

I was under the impression that the 1st picture was part of the room and the 2 doors were both the bathroom and bedroom. In reality the 'living area' is just the lobby and not part of the rooms.

With that being said, the owner was more than happy to accommodate us with a larger room. The wifi is great and there's cold breakfast avaliable every morning. Unfortunately there's not any computer desks so if you're needing to get work done via laptop I would recommend bringing your own fold up table.

Overall a very decent hotel/motel experience depending on which type of room you pick. Will definitely come back if I ever have anymore business...

We loved this place. Super SUPER clean room and fresh-smelling when we walked in. It was very quiet here despite having neighbors right next door. Beds were so comfy and room was nice and dark so we got great sleep here. There was free washer and dryer which was really convenient and the parking right by our door made coming and going very easy, especially with our dogs and kids. The shower was very clean, new, bright and had the best water pressure and plenty of warm water. Diane was very helpful, friendly and informative about the town.
