I had an extremely poor experience here and regret coming. Here is why.

  1. The owner ignored their own cancellation/refund policy: (big warning to anyone thinking of coming here!)

"Cancellations made more than 7 days in advance of scheduled arrival will be fully refunded. Cancellations made 6 to 3 days in advance will be refunded 50% of booking fees. Cancellations made less than 3 days before the reservation will receive no refund." Direct quote from their website as of December 14th, 2024

I contacted the owner on November 14th for a cancellation of a stay booked for December 3rd (19 days ahead) and she refused any refunds. I gave her half a month in advance. I feel as though this is extremely poor business practice and made me lose faith in them as a business. I had no choice but to go in spite of a family emergency because the owner was going to charge me regardless of whether or not I showed up. This already soured my experience before even arriving and experiencing everything else I did.

Why did the owner deny me? The owner claimed because I "rescheduled the trip twice" (not a part of their cancellation policy, but I went with it). I called and text to direct her to our email chains to show her I in fact, did no such thing, and we had only ever spoken on the phone once to add a night to my stay. Still refused refund.

I was skipping meals and skimping on self care for half a month to be able to make sure we could still afford it after the family emergency because they refused to follow their written word of how they would handle our finances.

  1. I felt the lack of curtains disturbed my privacy, as there are body length windows surrounding the only bed. I felt uncomfortable dressing how I usually do for bedtime with my partner and had trouble feeling relaxed due to feeling a lack of privacy. I'm sure you can see why I, as part of a young couple, felt this was disturbing and uncomfortable for our first anniversary.

I also felt I had trouble sleeping because you cannot turn off the blue/yellow Christmas lights on the trees outside to the right of the treehouse, so I got very bad sleep quality because of all the light from them. Wish they had communicated that.

The owners came by the first morning and knocked on the door, I didn't realize since I didn't have my phone close by to see a text from them (they text me about 30 minutes before they would arrive). I personally am glad to put my phone's communications on the wayside during a vacation, so I felt uneasy knowing I had to have it close by and on sound at all times for whenever they decided they wished to pop in.

Perhaps a known schedule of "We will come by this day at this time" that client and owner agree to would be better for everyone involved and reduce the possibility of them witnessing anything possibly indecent due to the glass door having a view of the only bed.

  1. For some reason, the owner insisted on meeting us here instead of leaving the door unlocked and we arrive when we arrive, as has been my experience with similar short term rentals before.

This caused an easily avoidable conflict since we had to be there at a certain time to meet with her in-person, not just "after this time" like most stays do. I understand the owner likes to give personal tours of the place, but life is unpredictable, and making a client feel bad because of a crash on the I-44 they cannot control does not make me feel excited, nor welcome.

The owner also claimed she would check our IDs when we arrived and never did. This was a huge reason we had to meet her there at a specific time. Why make such a big fuss about it being done if you're not actually going to do it after all?

  1. The owner also told us to text her anytime we left and when we were coming back. I just wanted space and privacy for my first anniversary. I have never had an owner tell me to tell them my comings and goings to keep tabs on me.

Overall, I regret giving this business my financial information and do not recommend here if you need privacy...

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the most enchanting treehouse, and it was an experience like no other. Nestled high among the trees, this magical retreat swept us off our feet from the moment we arrived. The treehouse was a perfect blend of rustic charm and modern comforts, adorned with twinkling fairy lights that added a touch of whimsy to the already enchanting setting.

The craftsmanship of the treehouse was truly remarkable. Every detail, from the themed trinkets to the hand-carved furniture, showcased the love and care that went into creating this mystical hideaway. The large windows offered panoramic views of the lush forest, making us feel at one with nature. In the evening, as the sun set and the forest came alive with the sounds of wildlife, it felt as if we had been transported to a different world.

One of the highlights of our stay was the private deck, where we enjoyed our morning coffee while listening to the birds serenade the dawn. At night, the cozy fireplace created a warm and inviting atmosphere, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring the stories this space had to tell.

The hosts were incredibly welcoming, providing thoughtful touches like flower petal trails, homemade brownies, and a hand written welcome note. They went above and beyond to ensure our stay was comfortable and memorable.

Overall, our stay at this magical treehouse was an unforgettable experience that I would highly recommend to anyone seeking a unique and serene escape from the everyday hustle and bustle. It’s a haven of peace, beauty, and wonder that will leave you with lasting memories and a desire to return time...

Enchanted Forest Treehouse is the perfect getaway. It is fun and thoughtfully-decorated, simply hard to imagine how much time was spent on every single details of this magical place. My fiancé and I spent an evening in the treehouse and it was the most relaxing getaway I could have imagined. The large, relaxing hot tub and outdoor kitchenette area, the oversize double bathtub, the beautifully decorated rooms and bathroom, the softest bath robes in the world, heated blankets and pillows are just some of the amazing amenities you will find waiting at this oasis. We even went for a hike through the wooded hills, found a beautiful view from a rock outcropping and enjoyed the peaceful serenity of nature. Our stay included a fun scavenger hunt which was the perfect way to begin exploring the treehouse and set the mood for such a relaxing time we enjoyed there. The owners, Marsha and Darryl, are the kindest, most thoughtful people and we enjoyed a delicious home-cooked breakfast the next morning. You don’t find a place like this very often where every single detail has been thought of and your only task to relax to and enjoy. It such a surprisingly unique place and experience that words cannot describe how amazingly fun and relaxing this place is. I HIGHLY recommend the Enchanted Forest Treehouse to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway, the celebration of a special occasion, or those who just want to explore the fun of staying in a treehouse. You will not disappointed by this fun, whimsical, well-thought-out,...

I surprised my wife for our 3 year anniversary with a weekend getaway to the Enchanted Forest Treehouse and it was AMAZING!!!! The hosts are fabulous, the attention to detail is top notch! Every time we turned our head we saw something new. We brought our own food and a stuff for a picnic but if you want there’s options to add breakfast. I opted in for a “love spell” scavenger hunt and my wife had a blast with it! Fairy godmother Marsha also had another side quest for a St. Patrick’s day promotion that was a super fun scavenger hunt. We were still finding the little coins up until the hour before we left! I don’t want to give to much away because seeing is believing. We’re already thinking of when we should come back, I bet the fall time would be even more mesmerizing (if that’s even possible) also the hot tub 😍😍😍 so relaxing. I was a little worried we would get bored with no tv or anything but I put on a chill playlist with the JBL speaker in the kitchen and when I tell you we were not ready to go back to reality!!! Relaxing on the back deck with heated blankets and the squirrels was just what we needed after a day of exploring. One of the best getaways we’ve done, and so close to home! (St. Louis) A trip to Meramec caverns is about 25 minutes down the road! I 10/10 recommend the Enchanted Forest Treehouse for your stay. 💚🧚‍♀️🐿️
