Five Stars We have been camping at the Jersey shore on and off since the 70’s. We’ve stayed at a few and driven through most of them at one time or another over the years. We’ve only been seasonal campers at one other resort before deciding on Ocean City Campground and Cabins during an unplanned visit this past February. On that warm February afternoon we saw the sign and pulled in to look around. As I said, we’ve seen almost all of these places down here, but this place I didn’t know. First thing my wife and I noticed was how new everything was. The pavilion still smelled of fresh wood, the pool area was obviously new, the mini golf course greens still not faded from the sun. We drove around and noted that a lot of work was being done. The office was closed but before we left we were greeted by a couple who happened to be camp workers. Danny and Leslie were so nice, so friendly. They told us the backstory on the campground. They told us how much work had been done in the short time the new owners had taken over. They said it was a family that bought it, and that they had great plans for the future. Leslie called Suzanne, the campground manager for us, to get more information about available sites that would fit our needs. As it turned out, Gary, the new owner was on site that day as well. He came up to meet us, opened up the store to get us a map, and explained his business philosophy as far as his campgrounds were concerned. They want their campgrounds to be just that, campgrounds. Not RV resorts, not retirement communities, just camping. This was exactly what my wife and I were looking for. After talking to Gary we were very interested. But talking to Danny and Leslie let us be sure we were in the right place. Suzanne was very helpful answering many questions I had about their rules and policies. If you’ve gone through some of the campgrounds down here you’d know what I mean about rules. They are very clearly stated in the seasonal contract. Camping is fun, we love it. We’ve met lifelong friends over the years, and have done so here in just one month. It’s fun to cook out, have a few drinks by the fire, listen to music or watch an outdoor tv. All of this can be done in a way as to not disrupt the lives of your neighbors. Barking dogs, music and laughter are the background sounds of a happy campground. As long as that dog stops, and the noise is down at quiet hour I assure everybody thinking of coming here will have a good time. If you think you want to sign up here and make every weekend like Mardi Gras or spring break in Daytona please consider someplace else. This is a campground, and we’re camping. In conclusion, Ocean City Campground and Cabins is very clean, with spacious sites and a very friendly and helpful staff. It’s a family campground owned by a family, not some huge corporate entity. And we believe it’s only going to get better.

This is a Beautifully updated campground. We came and stayed for Memorial Day weekend. The staff is extremely helpful. Being our first trip with a massive 42ft 5th wheel I was extremely relieved to be greeted and assisted. Several staff offered assistance backing in. Each spot is cozy and displays well maintained amenities. Extremely clean bath houses, even the soap dispensers had soap in them! We decided to extend our stay after an amazing few days! Each road and site has a compacted layer of crushed asphalt and clear direction on which way to travel. Open Season Spots at this site won't last long once people see the all new attractions such as pool, handicap accessible cabins and mini golf. Also have a large beautiful pavilion and cornhole tournament area. There is a kids playground, basketball court, general store stocked with mist have essentials including ice cream soft serve and breakfast eggs, etc. Have pets? There is an enclosed dog park! Great water pressure and daily pump outs if you call before 10am! The owner Gary is very approachable so is all the staff! This place is a perfect balance between outdoor tranquility, fun, and creature comforts. We are so happy we came across this place! Thank you to the staff for a truly memorable start to 2023!

From the moment I arrived at this campground and entered into the office/shop and approached ANY employee… I was greeted with a smile, a “Hey how are you, is there anything you need?” , a warm welcoming vibe. A vibe that screamed “I’m Home” when I wasn’t home. Suzanne, Lesli & Joanne are shining stars when it comes to making a resident (or as they say “family”) feel welcomed, heard & informed on all information/events/food trucks etc. They say the staff make a company flourish and I believe that here. From the moment you enter till exit you are treated like you are the priority from this Gold star campground. It is very clean here and it shows by how hard you see the maitence team work all day while taking breaks to fist-bump your kid. I highly recommend this campground to anybody whether single or you have a big family for a campground near the beach!

Camp and Stay here with Confidence, |Geez, This entire place is spotless and immaculate with staff present and seen working to keep it this way did not UNNOTICED. My family and I spent a long weekend in one of the cabins and having spent time in other cabins at other campgrounds these here were beyond clean and spotless. Immediately upon check in we could tell this place was different with super and i mean SUPER friendly staff helping out with wi fi passwords, apps, restaurants in area, things to do suggestions etc etc etc and yes even a dog treat for the fourth member of our family. Upon getting to cabin having ceiling fans on and A/C set to a comfortable cool temperature was an unexpected nice extra and made unpacking / unwinding from drive easier. During our stay the Pool was super nice with one of the best mini golf courses we've seen in a while but like i said this place was spotless. Our son liked the small but adequate arcade with ice cream, ping pong and corn hole boards as a nice option. This place is very close to beach and really anything you may need and not sure if they are around all season but the wife liked the multiple farm stands in and around the local area. While we didn't bring our travel trailer and stayed in a cabin the RV sites looked of good size and flat with seasonal and weekend campers all nice and approachable when passing by with a hi there, hello or wave. While i hate to complain about anything with this place we should all try to improve even at a place as nice as this. That being said the dog park could maybe use some extra attention with possibly fresh mulch and maybe even expanding for more of a dog run. ||Thx Ocean City Campground and...

I highly recommend this campground to anyone in the NJ area looking for a conveniently located, clean, fun place to stay. It's family-friendly with lots to do.

Location: It's close to the beaches, shopping and groceries. If you have kids I recommend heading over to the Cape May County Park & Zoo, which is only a 15 minute drive.

Site: I stayed in one of the cabins. It had everything I needed for a long weekend: a bed, coffee maker, refrigerator, cups, plates, etc. It was clean and comfortable, which is really important to me when I'm trying to enjoy some R&R. It's also worth noting how cute it is! When you step into the cabin you feel like you're in the woods. I also checked out some of the other RV/camper sites while I was there and noticed they have a variety to suit just about everyone's needs. I noticed a few pull-through sites, some more secluded wooded sites and some that would be great if you want to enjoy your neighbor's company.

Fun: For my stay the pool wasn't open yet however it looked beautiful. There was a splash pad that I wish my kiddo could have run around in. We tried out the mini golf course and hung out in the area with the corn hole boards for a bit. Several times throughout our stay we grabbed some ice cream from their store. My daughter loved the chocolate peanut butter flavor. If she could talk she'd recommend it! It felt like there was always something to do. They had crafts for mother's day, a succulent potting class and food trucks on the weekend.

10 out of 10,...
