Valley Motel — Hotel in Valley Grove

I found this place out of desperation late at night when I realized I was still a long way from Wheeling. It's on the old US 40 alignment, and the loss of traffic has hurt it. I think I was the only car. The rooms are pretty small, and my matress was just about collapsed. The heat was very much appreciated, and I spent a quiet night. The bathroom was small but clean. This has to have been the worst hotel I’ve ever seen in my entire life. The rooms were nasty, disgusting, and smelled. It was so bad we had to leave and couldn’t even stay there. Wish that we would’ve seen a honest review before checking in. When we were leaving the owner actually came into the room while we were still in it and interrogated us about what was wrong with the room. It made us extremely uncomfortable as we just wanted to get the heck out of there and were trying to be polite about...
