I will never stay again. Your room was fine but your employee Donna day shift. Was very rude. Now I had gotten there late early morning. She was a little off , but she had personality. But within hours later a woman named Donna did not. I really wanted to tell her how I feel about her . But it is what it is . Now I would spend my money somewhere else. And it's a shame because the rooms are great, the rates aren't so bad , for now on I will go too the super 8 .. So who ever is in charge , you should check into this woman u have working for u and really do sum investigation. Like petend to be a customer and say u want to stay the night next morning u have to call in the check in for another night, well that morning call in right before check out and say Hun I just wanted you to be aware I will be staying another night and I need to call my bank to transfer funds from my savings account to my checking account.see how she reacts how firm and not do nice about the situation . And just play it out just petend . Do your job.. I bet by phone u would not want to stay there . I'm not sure if she is Manager and if she is well u need to put her in a different department, I'm serious she is not a people person I feel she probably doesn't smile unless she is kissing ass... I have never met the woman and I don't ever want to. I also told this later . After I called her back to finalize the payment method which another story, but I won't go there , anyways she said well you need to come to get ur news keys that day I said ok np. But I'm not thier at the moment but I can have my daughter come in for me . She says well she not a guest here her name is not on this account. I said ok well she will be doing it she will have her I'd . Well she was not so grand about any of the times I to deal with her which was a couple which is not many for two days. And another problem on top of all that , when my sister or my daughter would call, to transfer to my room she was so rude and would ask for who u calling , I mean it's a little to much . So I decided to have my husband call which is a state consuble, in Pennsylvania and was rude same tone it's horrible.. and he put his review in first .I'm sorry I will not rates this a 5,4,3,2, none .. only a 1 🌟.. I rather pay more to have a better person to deal with at any desk of a hotel...it's just like u go out to eat if your server sucks with no personality, are u going to leave her a 20% .. no I don't think so Donna at Red Roof Inn...needs to be...
Read moreWARNING! I had reserved for 8 nights. When I arrived to check in, the front desk lady checked me in and gave me my key card. Then she explained that for the rest of the week, they would be shutting off the water due to repairs. I asked her at what time, and she said she had no idea. I asked if there were any other rooms without this issue, she said, "No, it's both buildings I asked her, "What if I'm taking a shower and they shut the water off? She said, "Just call me, and I will take you water so you can rinse off!" I couldn't believe what I just heard. So I went to the room and saw the comforter and sheets were stained with yellow spots. I was already upset to worry that the water would be shut off every day and no notice as to when. I took my things back to my car and went back to the office and said, "I can't stay here if the water is going to be shut off." She said, it's only a couple of hours. I said, "Then you shouldn't rent out any rooms if you can't provide water to shower." She said she would put me as a cancelation. I said, "You can't put me as a cancelation when the reason I can't stay is because you can't provide water to shower. I added you can't charge me for me not staying. She said, "I will call the owner and see what he says. I booked on priceline and immediately called them when I left. The recording said they were transferring me to their sister 3rd party, which is booking.com. I was on hold for an hour and was not able to get through. I'm still waiting to see if they charge my credit card. I will be complaining not only to my credit card company but also to the town commissioner and chambers of commerce. Read moreIn terms of value for money, this is a decent choice. However, there are a few things that I need to share. The advertised rates that you see from the road are much higher than the rates you actually pay. May be they have other rooms that are better and carry a high price tag. I got a decent deal for about $475 inclusive of all taxes for 7 nights. This is less than half of price that you pay for places like Pine Barn inn. The staff is friendly and helpful. The room seemed a bit old but clean. Bedding and mattress was comfortable. These days you don't get a daily cleaning service anymore since COVID came in. However, what I was a bit surprised about was the size of the room. It seemed somewhat crowded. No bedside clock or charging mechanism. No iron or ironing board. The front desk was kind enough to let me borrow a small portable ironing board and an iron. I was able to get clean towels. Any room service that you need, has to be asked for. The front desk was also kind enough to ask me on arrival if everything was ok and if I needed anything. That was a very sweet gesture. The other little problem is that there is no microwave or fridge. The front desk seems willing to help out by letting you use their equipment. But otherwise you don't have those things in the room. All in all, you get what you pay for and in that regard, it is reasonable. I was just dismayed by the fact that the advertised rates are deceptively high which make you feel that you are getting a great deal when you find the rooms at much lower rates than advertised rates. But in reality you are getting a fair value for what you pay. Nothing more nothing less. So at the end of the day it is your choice what is more important to you. The place is very conveniently located and everything is in easy reach.
Update I initially gave 3 stars but had to increase the rating to 5 stars because of exceptional service provided by the front desk. I checked out a day earlier than my reservation and had not given them any advanced notice. Also it was past 3 pm. So I was not expecting any refund. But the front desk very graciously gave me the refund of my last night. This was above and beyond expectation. This compensâtes more than enough for the minor deficiencies outlined in my earlier review. Thanks Samantha for...
