Most disgusting place I've ever been to, and I do a lot of boondocking & backwoods camping. Not at all as presented; and Google maps couldn't even direct me to the right place. Paid for 2 nights and didn't even stay. Looked like there was garbage & debris scattered everywhere. The person I spoke to was located in Florida. I get there, no one is there at the site, and the gate was chained & locked. Save your time, energy & money and go somewhere else. The reviews I read make me think either friends or family wrote them, they couldn't be from real customers. Gave a "1 star" review because it's the lowest option. Addendum: was offered a week for free if I removed my review. Sorry, my integrity is not for sale. 2nd addendum: if I "violated the rules of agreement", then why would you offer me a free weeks stay if I...

There is an amazing view from the top of the mountains. They are off the road and at the bottom of Van Horn Mountains. Lots of camp sites to choose from. Bring your tent, or RV. New sites have been put in that over look the canyon. Constant improvements being done all around. Nice hiking up to the caves. Night sky is also amazing. On a clear night you can see the milky way. They have restrooms and shower available but keep in mind they are off grid. Very pleasant host who will answer any questions you have and help find a site you will love. Phone service is hit and miss depending on where you are and what service you have. They even have mini golf course. They have horse shoes going and even more to come. They even have a camper you can rent if you don't...

VERY prompt response when i needed an emergency rest stay on a solo trip. I wasn't prepared well for a comfortable night in my car (not there fault at all, just talking about what happened that led to my experience). They give good directions but be prepared for quite the scavenger hunt.. especially if you go in the middle of the night, super dark with dirt trails. But i would LOVE to come back again in a camper!!! It was beautiful and i was able to fall asleep staring up at the stars like i wanted to one night to experience the stars like that (camper style). It was super cold 🥶 so again, be prepared for the desert night. 🏜. Most important i felt incredibly safe!! I didn't come across anybody but it was perfect for my hermit and secluded self. Can't...

This is a gorgeous off the beaten path place to camp that I will be coming to anytime I am in the area. It is a rustic campsite with no hookups, but it is the perfect place to boondock. 90% paved roads, until the entry. Short dirt road drive, It is a bit bumpy but perfectly fine for my class A motor home. The camp spots are dispersed and well spaced. Many camp fire spaces, archery, hiking, solar showers. The owner and the groundskeeper were both extremely nice. I stayed an extra day as it was the perfect place to let my dog stretch her legs on our cross country drive. I felt extremely safe as a female traveling and staying alone.
