I've stayed here twice in the past week. I do a lot of traveling for work, this is far, the best campground for the price. Tent camping with electric and water is 20 dollars per day. I find the people who run the place very friendly, the grounds look very well kept. The other tenants seem to be quiet. They do have a good size built in pool, however it's still too early to open the pool. But it doesn't look like they need much to do in order to open it!
They also have a small pond for fishing. Both the pool and pond have a fence around them so you don't have to worry about the wee ones wandering in and a tragedy happening. The RV campsites look very well kept. With electric, water and sewer. They have a large covered picnic area, and a small store. I also see a playground with plenty of swings as slides. It's extremely quiet here.. it's not far from Van Wert which is a sizable town with lots of things to spotzeir (wander around) and see.. I don't know what the person is talking about about with the bathrooms... They are the cleanest bathrooms I've seen at a camping area, each stall has its own showers, toilet and sink.. it's brand new ceramic tile, and brand new walk in showers with even a seat to sit on, plenty of room if you have children that need supervision while they shower... It has brand new paint and is super clean! Soon the trees will be full of leaves so I'm sure it's actually better shaded than it is right now.. yes I would stay here anytime I'm in the western...
Read moremade reservations for 2 lots for the week of july 4th over 6 wks prior. Had to call 2 wks before original arrival date and amend reservation due to work schedule. original reservations Tues-Sun, had to amend to Fri - Sun. was told that was fine, they even recited our camper sizes, and names back to me. Called again on Wed, 2 days before arrival to double check on type of hook up, and was told by the owner, that I never called, and since we didn't show up on Tues. she rented our lots to someone else. She said she is the only one that answers the phone and she never talked to me. I was informed by a permanent camper there, that there IS another woman that works in the office and answers the phone. We have been staying at various campgrounds in the area, with the idea of going permanent when we find one we Love. Well this one is off the list. and I WOULD NEVER STAY AT A PLACE WHERE THE MANAGEMENT IS A LIER AND A B!!!!! I had to give this campground a score of 1, to post, when I really don't feel they...
Read moreWe moved in on a Monday and enjoyed the quiet and clean campground. We found the owners to be quiet and helpful. There were 2 sets of showers - one old and iffy but the new ones were a delight for a campground. Our neighbors were friendly and seemed to spend a lot of time just cruising the grounds in their golf carts. Friday night everything changed. The showers were trashed and flooded. And you couldn't drive slow enough to suit the noisy, hostile parents sitting around campfires, ignoring their children's whereabouts and behavior. We left a day earlier than planned.||If you are looking for a family oriented campground with a pool, fishing, miniature golf and evening activities, want someone else to clean up after your kids and don't ask much else of the management this could be a good choice. If you are looking for a quiet place for adults to enjoy the peace and quiet of the outdoors - especially on the weekend -...
