This was a decent hotel for the price. It's sort of run down but not too bad. I attempted to capture some photos to show the general state of disrepair. Other than things like the photos show, it was in pretty good shape. The hot and cold water on the sink was backwards. This is one example of something that wouldn't be permissible in some hotels (e.g. Fairfield or Hampton) but was a problem in this one. The breakfast available was: • Jimmy Dean frozen sausage biscuits (microwavable) • Fruit (Red Delicious apples, Granny Smith apples, and oranges) • Yogurt, black cherry • Instant oatmeal (good selection of 5 or 6 varieties) • Low-grade, individually wrapped muffins (3 kinds) • Orange juice, apple juice, cranberry juice • Coffee The water temperature was nice, amenities in the room good (coffee maker, refrigerator, etc.), and heat/air conditioner worked well. There is nothing close by the hotel, which in a way was nice because of the seclusion. On the other hand, this means there's not a restaurant or store nearby if you need anything. We drove about 10 minutes north to a nearby town to get Mexican food for takeout at suppertime. It was delicious.

I gave myself a couple of weeks to let my time at Graystone marinate. First the rooms are large and it is nice to have a "kitchenet" away from the bed. The staff was nothing but nice to me. They were great. The rest of the room is a let down. The bathroom had a broken sink support and a non functioning light over it (old CFL tube that just hummed when on). The carpet was showing its age. The walls are so thin I could hear every word from the tv and the person snoring all night. The main road is a ways off but the freeway and street noise (and stupid people with loud backfire cars) are too much for me to ever want to stay here again. The last point I want to make is the breakfast that is supplied is a let down. Ham and Cheese Hot Pockets! Really? (See photo proof) Boxed cereal, bread items (mini muffins that were not worth the time) and oatmeal. I don't want to sound mean, it just that there are better/newer places I will stay at if I return to Vance.

The hotel is situated in a good location, albeit slightly secluded among some businesses, which can make it feel a bit disoriented. However, it offers a quiet stay with plenty of well-lit parking spaces. The staff was friendly and helpful, and both check-in and check-out were smooth and efficient. That said, the overall condition of the hotel feels dated. Its compact layout makes the hallways and lobby feel cramped and old-fashioned. The rooms are adequately sized but unfortunately lacked cleanliness. The carpet was dirty with visible stains, and there were areas of rust and grime that detracted from the experience. While it's a decent option for a quick stopover, it’s not ideal for a multi-day stay.

Well... Greystone Inn didn't have the usual free amenities I expect, like a 24 hour unlimited open bar, in-room massages, or Harley motorcycles for touring the neighborhood. Aside from that this is a great hotel and value: Hilton quality rooms at a Motel 6 price. Wish I could stay someplace like this every night.

Room is almost as big as two standard motel rooms. Micro, fridge, 2 cup coffee pot, kitchen sink and ample food cabinets, big flat screen TV with plenty of channels, king (?) bed, free-standing 2x4 table/desk with two chairs, blackout curtains, bureau and nightstands, a mini-loveseat that's very comfortable for reading or watching TV, especially football :-)

Hotel is very clean and odor-free.

Guest laundry, free USA Today, typical vending and ice machines, ample free parking for cars and trucks. Literally across the freeway from Mercedes-Benz. No pool or Jacuzzi.

Staff is extremely friendly, helpful and professional.

Only downside is complete lack of complementary services nearby. Hotel is only business at this exit; no gas, fast food, restaurants or groceries. Nearest such apparently are about 10 miles away, so plan accordingly.

I read a few 1-2 star reviews apparently written by habitual whiners, or losers who feel empowered by criticizing everything. Anyone giving this place fewer than four stars is nuts.

I'm from Seattle, probably won't come back, but wish I could.

Note: I was heading east on the interstate; next services were off the interstate on US 11, 8-10 miles east. Apparently there are two restaurants and a gas station 1-2 miles west, at the next westbound exit, but I missed them. This hotel was so nice I'll plan a two day layover, next time I'm east of...

Would give this place 0 stars if it was an option..we were very misled by the reviews and the descriptions on the website...the advertisement billboard is by far FALSE ADVERTISEMENT...better than the Hamptons. We were driving thru on our way home and rain was getting pretty outrageous we decided to stop for the night..when we inquired about a room we were told there was no hot water..but not to worry because the plumber would be back to prime the line and that there should be hot water by morning..i exclaimed it didnt mater to me i was just tired and i could skip the shower if no hot water in the morning. I was more into the continental breakfast they bragged about on the website along with so many reviews...id like to know if they did the reviews themselves..we were asked what floor we wanted they suggested first floor ..ok we agreed to find it was right next to the door for smokers thats all you could smell..the room had another odor hard to explain more like mold dampness...carpet was disgusting..i just left my shoes on til i got on the bed..bed wasnt that bed..morning comes and were excited about the breakfast..we went down for it only to be surprised by frozen hot pockets and frozen jimmy dean pancake wrapped sausage on a stick..if that wasn't enough i went to dispense a glass of juice only to have a glob of mold come out into my cup..the bread for the toast was moldy..needless to say it was a joke..they had sryup packets out no butter for the toast.we ended up each with a cup of coffee and went elsewhere to eat...dont waste your time nor money staying there..another 20 miles or so we could have stayed in something better we discovered the next morning...

I stayed 5 days! Let's start with the good. Rooms were clean, and bed sheets were clean. Fresh towels. The price was decent. Service is always smiling. Now for the bad. Every bit of the equipment in the exercise room had something wrong with it. The only tredmill in the building has an elevation setting that does not work. You can speed up the belt, but you can not slow it down unless you hit the emergency stop. The only exercise bikes, millage calories, and heart rate display do not work. The only step climber machine keeps reseting, so you can't set up what you want. The only other thing in this exercise room was free wights that only went to 50 lbs. My coffee pot in my room did not work, and when I asked for another one, it took 24 hours to get a replacement. When they did replace it, they brought a brand new one still in the box. Don't bother bringing your Xbox or other gaming consoles as the router does not support multi-player gaming. It's good for streaming and general browsing, but that's it. When I complained, they just said we would get back to you. Never did. I was never offered anything for my inconveniences while I was there. Getting to and from the hotel is a nightmare with all the road construction in the area. Only places to eat are 10 miles or more away. Breakfast does not change much day to day, and it's always stuff you gotta prepare yourself and microwave or toast. No healthy options at all. Unless you are huge on yogurt. Only recommend if you're in a pinch or you have pets and your...
