Wesleyan Woods RV Park and Campground — Hotel in Vassar Township

Camping spots are average for this type of campground. Firewood was good price delivered right to the site. Plenty of grassy open areas to do your own thing (kites, kickball, football, frisbee, whatever). Decent playground. East shower room is pretty poor but others have said the west ones were nice. Went there mainly for the activities. During check in we tried to sign up for the rock wall and ropes course but they said we better go look at it first to make sure our pre-teen boys could do it. We did so right away and then came back to sign up. “Sorry - We just filled up for the weekend.” If I knew that was a possibility we would have just paid at check-in like I wanted. The worker should have let us know as the kids were really bummed. Strike 1. Waited for a hay ride. 1st in line and waited close to an hour because they were having trouble. That was fine but they pulled up to the back of the line and filled the wagon - no ride for us. It was just a hay ride but still a let down. Strike 2. Waited over an hour for the zip line over the pond. The worker on the pontoon that unhooks you at the bottom was on his phone. Wasn’t paying attention and pulled it right into the zip path. My son wacked the edge of the pontoon hard. It left him cut and bruised. Strike 3. Do I recommend this place? I...

I am not one to ever complain or write reviews (this being my first one) but I wouldn’t recommend anyone to this campground. Upon arrival I was already a little thrown off I have a tent and a pop up gazebo that barley fit on the site. Then as my daughter and I make our way over to the “beach” (so small it wasn’t enjoyable at all) I notice young kids in military like uniforms, they were marching around with wood cut outs of guns. It was cute at first but they never really went inside it made both of us uncomfortable to even walk around. At one point they had the kids guarding the bathrooms and I wouldn’t even walk over by them (not that they were doing anything wrong I just felt uncomfortable) We go to bed that night and next thing 6:30am comes along and the kids are outside walking and chanting and playing trumpets. I asked the women in the office if the cadets would be there all weekend and she said yes, I said this is for sure something they should have on their website. We left losing out on 3 nights worth of the stay and went to another campground down the road we enjoyed much better! Don’t waste your time or money here...

It would’ve been nice….. they weren’t honest about the WiFi there… and then they said you have to pay for it here and I paid for it and I ended paying $40 for WiFi that was not even set up in the location site that we were staying at and the lady said that she didn’t have any complaints about the WiFi in our area and according to the customer service guy he said that the owner had it cut at our location… so they lied and gave us a run around… and I left voicemails and calls and nobody got back to me at all! good thing the WiFi people refunded us! We needed the WiFi for directions on our phone because it’s such a dead area there. Then the lady that assigned our site put us in a non shaded area… like no shade at all. And it was 90 degrees all weekend. So imagine your camper in the blazing sun with no shade and there were other sites available and they put you there…! So I would not stay at any site near site 70 other then the ones by the river and the back sites…. Overall not happy with our experience and will not be...
