Buyer Beware. Just be careful if you go here. This business values the almighty dollar over the customer and their experience they will have at their resort. I've sent two texts, this is my latest. From here on out I just want to keep you the customer aware. I sent this text Thursday the 20th and the manager says the owner and crew are all on the same text thread. I hope they have a good reason to give you guys about my experience. I am sure I will hear nothing from them.
My text "I will be sharing this in a review moving forward. Except I will wait a day or two to allow a response. There can be two sides to a story. Again my story goes as follows. I paid for a 30 punch pass, and my family came to your resort. One of my brothers family got there first. They did not realize we had paid for them, which is on us for not communicating properly, and therefore they paid for themselves which equated two 64 dollars. They went back a short time later because they found out I had paid for a 30-punch pass, and you guys would not return the money due to your convenient rule of once you pay there is no returns. Even when it was explained that I had paid for them you still chose to say no to the return; hiding behind your excuse that we do not give refunds. I can understand a rule for that. There are times when that may be applicable, but when you know someone has paid double. They have explained that they are part of my group that has already paid, and they have explained it to you at the resort the same day a short time later; at this point in time you're hiding behind the rule so you can be dishonest, and keep the $64. Your manager said to me 'you' the owner more than likely would not return my $64. I personally am content with that if you choose to do so that is your business, and if you feel it will help your business grow by all means move forward with that theory. At my work we try a different approach to make people happy. We try to listen. We try to be helpful. We try to be honest as we possibly can sometimes even giving a little more than we should to make them happy because we know people talk. I may have lost $64 today, but I am sure with people reading this review, you will lose far more than the $64 you made off with from me. I await your response in regards to this. I didn't get a response from my earlier text, so I will give you a couple of days to respond at which point I'll just go ahead, and post this for others, So they may make their choice to go there or not. This review will help people be cautious when choosing to support your business, or help them to rethink going to Veyo. Overall I don't think I'll hurt you strongly because you do have a fun place. Except for the bad after taste we and others will receive from your ethics, but there will be some which will not want to deal with a business who does not care for them...
Read more*Edited to add. I’m over this shady place. After they posted on their Facebook page the exact same video of flooding that happen in 2018 begging community members to come help them clean up their pool deck like it had happened today Aug 2022. When I asked if it was the same video they deleted my comments and blocked me from commenting. *
This is our second year attended movie night in the canyon. Will not be doing it again but would happily go up for general admission to swim. Super beautiful location, hand dipped corn dog was amazing ice cream was delicious and movie great. Crawdad fishing in the stream was so fun and so beautiful.
But y’all are charging Disneyland prices for an okay pool side experience. We did the float and food premium upgrade for 3 people and it was $54. Which I paid online. Which is fine but then we get to the pool and you have to pay an entrance fee $15 per person to get into the pool. Why not just include that entrance fee in the price online? Probably because most people wouldn’t pay $33 per person for this gig. It really was not worth it.
If you’re going to do this just do general admission and stay for the movie. The general seating is still good but those upgraded seats poolside and in the floating tubes are just not worth the price. Floating in the pool seems fun but it’s actually annoying trying to keep yourself in one spot. I felt like I needed an anchor because my arm was tired hanging onto the side of the pool.
The other thing that kills me was the manager texts me to come early to get our food because they were short staffed and were going to close the grill at 6 pm to set up for the movie. Which I was totally ok with and really appreciated the text. I then asked via text what time the movie started because it was not clear on the website or anywhere on the confirmation email and I had also commented on their iG post asking what time the movie started. No response via text and my comment on iG was deleted. Then as soon as we get there she says “you know you have to pay an entrance fee to get in?” Which was honestly just some serious sticker shock. They even kicked us out of the pool at 8 so they could set up around the pool. So my family who didn’t come up early paid $15 to not even be able to swim for an hour before the movie.
And the kids working there just didn’t have a clue. We gave them our ticket meal vouchers and they said “what do I do with this?” Uh you work here friend not me. So we go to pick up our food and they hadn’t made the fries. Which was an honest mistake but man I’m really trying to justify the price to myself here people.
This venue is too cool, food too good and concept too fun to just fall flat in the customer service experience. I’d recommend including the entrance fee in your online ordering process and working on the...
Read moreMy spouse and I were traveling from Las Vegas to Salt Lake City and wanted to find a place to camp in-between. My spouse had seen Veyo Pool on a local TV station and recommended we give it a try. We got off of 1-15 somewhere in Arizona and found our way there. Our internet service went out along the way and there aren't many signs so we were a little nervous driving that far out into what seemed like an endless desert, but eventually my eye caught a Veyo sign and we were able to find the place. My spouse called the campground while we were enroute. Although it was already after 8pm the manager was very pleasant and helpful, assuring us that she would still be there and could check us in. We were there on a weekday night and the place was dead, maybe only 2 other families. The manager waived the canyon fee since we came in so late and told us we could stay until 10:30am the next day before having to pay a canyon fee. We paid for firewood and a firepit and it was like $30 total or something for the night. I'm not really an avid camper so I don't know if this is a high price or not. I believe they put a security deposit hold on your credit card as well. We had a nice night camping. The restrooms were clean and usable and there were pool-style showers that could be used 24/7. You could wander around the canyon, which seems to be basically a bunch of rock climbing routes. It did get a little cold by morning so I was glad I had a coat with me. We went from 105 degrees in Vegas to about 60 degrees for the morning in Veyo in July. In the morning the manager will come down and check out your campsite and sign you out. There was a nice maintenance guy there as well that gave us some tips on good places to check out in St. George. The manager also heated up some water for us so my spouse could have some coffee in the morning. We could connect to the wifi from down in our campsite. I think the place is pretty well ran and we had a good experience. We don't get down in this area very often, but I wouldn't hesitate...
