RV Resort at Grand Chain Vineyards — Hotel in Vienna

I had confirmed via phone that there were to be available campsites with showers. This was for overnight on August 16th. I arrived in good fashion to find no one available. The lodge has been closed for sometime as evidences by the dust and collection of various equipment in the hallway visible thru the windows. Seems to be in the midst of a renovation then stopped. The parking lot was cracked with grass and weeds growing thru. Called the number to ask about shower etc and no answer. Place was beautiful but very desolate with no sign of anyone around. I left to a hotel room and received a call back two hours later. They only asked if I was still there to which I advised I was not. They said ok then and Good bye.

Overall - the website is no longer up and from past reviews, the place was last active in 2020 and seems to have not...

Supposed to have reservations for 5-28th & 29th. None was noted yet there was rooms available. Paid $177.00 for 2 nights, first room TV did not have no channels that was clear. 2nd room we had about 4 channels to choose from. No Wifi or phones in room. After we unloaded our luggage we left, when we got back it was pitch black no lights on at all on the side of building we had to enter through and none of the lights on in hallway either!!! NO Hot Water to Take SHOWER, Mold Ring in Toilet Bowl and Urine Splatter Under Toilet Seat and around 50 Dead Bugs in Bathroom. Disgusting!!! Met Mr Campbell in parking lot while packing our car and showed him our room he refunded my husband $100 since we had decided to not stay another night. I would have been ashamed to charged anything for that room!!!! Plus Smelled...

Some remodeling has apparently occurred, and one cannot access the deck from your room. But, not a big deal. The deck is huge, and includes seating for the restaurant, and there are plenty of seats for all visitors. The view of the Ohio river is awesome. We watched fireworks over the river that must have been from the casino, which is a fair distance away. We couldn't hear them, but we could see them and it was nice. Tug boats would sometimes shine their light at us. No frills- a plain, basic hotel room. But, it was nice enough, and we will defintely go back. The deck was fantastic, and we enjoyed...
