Titan Ranch — Hotel in Vilonia

What a unique experience! How many people can say you got to camp out at a nuclear missile base? Well I can now thanks to GT Hill the owner of Titan Ranch. This is an old USAF Titan II missile base that was decommissioned and destroyed but Titan Ranch has brought history back to life in a very interesting way. 3 story underground AirBnB with everything you would need to enjoy your stay. The tour is so informative. Currently they are building a second on-site BnB inside the replica missile that has been built to scale. We stayed at the RV sites. 22 spots all 70’ pull thru with 30/50 hook up power and water. It has a dump station newly completed that we had honor of using first! This is a must if passing through the Conway area on I-40 or you’re just looking for a great spot to enjoy a peaceful weekend. It’s a work currently in progress but we enjoyed everything they offer so far. We arrived “on site” and was greeted by “GT”, he gave us a short (above ground) briefing and then we were off to descend down the stairs to 35 feet below surface. At this point GT gave us a complete briefing about the entire history of the Complex. Oh, should have mentioned, we are at a formerly commissioned “Titan ll Intercontinental Ballistic Missile Site”. Wow, you say…indeed a “site” to see.

Now opening a 8 inch thick several ton blast door we are inside the tunnel that led to “level 2” of the control center of the site. We went up to “level 1” and then down to “level 3” at this level we are 50 feet below surface. Each of these levels have been converted to an area of accommodation. This was one of the best places we have ever stayed. It was unique and educational. The hosts were awesome! Friendly n helpful. Met us on arrival even though we were late and also met us when we left to make sure we liked our stay or had any questions. The BN&B was clean and had everything we could have needed. The hosts went above and beyond to make sure our stay was comfortable and had extra touches just to ensure their guests left happy. Kid- friendly also.
