Red Roof Inn Vincennes — Hotel in Vincennes

First off I wanna say that the website, sign in the room and sign at front desk says they serve breakfast THEY DO NOT, I asked that they not put me next to a room that has permanent extended stay residents, but they did. They had two very large pit bulls in the room but seemed sweet. but i was traveling with my two 2 pound chihuahuas so it was intimidating at first because the dogs came flooding out pulling their owners on the leashes right at us. Now as for the room, It had cockroaches and dead ones visibly seen in the fridge. No fire alarms in the room, the hook ups were there.. they were just missing completely. The lamp plug ins didn't work as they were melted. The sheets in one of the beds hadn't been changed because there was bread or chip crumbs literally through out it. The bathroom had pubes all over the toilet and in the bathtub. and the floor was extra slippery not even wet. honestly, the only thing this place has going is the bed was not uncomfortable and the location was decent.

Next, Our relatives got the HANDICAPT room. The heater in bathroom didn't go off the WHOLE two days they stayed in it. they didn't have a fire alarm either. they had no handicap rails or slip proof in the bathroom or bathtub, So I am unsure what set that room apart from the one we got which was cheaper... especially considering it was a fire hazard IN A HANDICAPT ROOM. Their room was dirty as well, and their toilet wouldn't flush, they asked the front desk for a plunger and they were told that they didn't have one and the toilet may be a slow flush and to wait till morning between each flush. poor customer service, false advertisement and dirty rooms. I'm leaving one start for the bed being comfortable. as far as the price goes, YEAH its not bad but it should be much cheaper, and they should get rid of handicap rooms ALL TOGETHER especially since they aren't to code. maybe I should make a call about that. They were amazing. Clean rooms. Hospitality to the highest.Room Service excellent. Front desk very helpful. Joseph. Owner on premises. Kathy...cleaning lady a wonderful person....They deserve 20 stars. Quiet Quaint and all around human beings with the heart of Gold . Thank you! 🌟💖✨ I GET IT....COVID 19 HAS EVERYONE IN A STATE OF PANIC...WE LOVE TO GIVE PROPS ON WHERE WE STAY AND OUR TRAVELS...I AM NOW BEING CALLED THE QUEEN OF THE ROAD...BECAUSE, FOR YEARS MY LATE HUSBAND AND I TRAVEL...BUT ENOUGH IS ENOUGH....THE OWNER TOGETHER WITH HIS TEAM TREATED ALL Traveler's WITH RESPECT...AND THAT ALONE DESERVES A 6 STAR....THEY ARE WORKING HARD AND GIVING THEIR BEST....I RECIEVED AN EMAIL WHERE THEY STATED THAT I GAVE A GOOD AND THEN SOME SORT OF TRAVEL WHATEVER POPPED UP AS I WAS REVIEWING A HOTEL THAT HAD SENT ME TO A DIRTY ROOM AND THEN TRANSFERRED ME TO A ROOM WHERE I HAD TO LEAVE AROUND 2:30 AM THAT MORNING BECAUSE THE SMELL FROM THE HEATER WAS VERY HARSH ...I WAS NOT UPSET...THEY ALSO. TRIED THEIR BEST....I GAVE THEM 5 STARS BECAUSE FRONT DESK AND HOUSEMAID TRIED THEIR DARNEST TO ACCOMMODATE ME....IF I WHO IS BATTLING BREAST CANCER LYMPHOMA STAGE 1 AND MINI STROKES FORGOT AND WAS JUST HAPPY TO SLEEP,EAT AND BATHE AND THEIR ROOMS AT BOTH PLACES ARE BEAUTIFUL....WHY CAN YOU NOT FORGIVE HUMAN ERRORS AND RECOGNIZE THAT NO ONE IS PERFECT OR IS THEIR A PERFECT PLACE...LOVE YOU SO, YOU CAN LOVE AND APPRECIATE Others,.NO..NO FREE ROOM FOR A NIGHT FOR WRITING THIS....I WORK CUSTOMER SERVICE AND SERVICE THOSE WHO DESERVE SOMEONE LIKE ME OR YOU IN THEIR STRUGGLING BUSINESS....NO DISRESPECT TO ANYONE...LIVE LOVE AND LAUGH...OH AND LET LIVE...HAVE A GREAT...

If I could give this LESS than one star, I would! DO NOT STAY HERE!!! The pictures are very deceiving! Every room is run down, damaged, toilets have black rings around the water, the remotes were all taped, lights didn’t work, rooms smell absolutely HORRIFIC! There was a toilet brush outside of my room, the pool was GREEN, and not just because of the paint on it. In the 20 minutes we were at the property (only because I had to find somewhere else to stay), a sheriff went around the parking lot 5 TIMES. This tells you what “probably” goes on at this place. I absolutely refuse to let my children stay at a place I felt so unsafe staying!

Save your money, people!! Spend the extra few dollars and go one where else! As soon as I went to our room, I IMMEDIATELY went to the front desk and asked to be refunded. I was told that I would be contacted by a manager when she talked to her, but got no call back. When I called again the next morning, (because I did not stay there at all) the manager told me it was “too busy of a weekend and they were not issuing refunds.” No where did I find this on any policy, nor did I sign anything consenting to such. So once again, SAVE YOUR MONEY!!! This place is literally the worst place...
