All things considered, for free camping, nothing beats this spot. Just keep in mind, there are no facilities, and the roads are not maintained. I got there on a Friday night and nearly every spot was taken. I got lucky and managed to fit my 35 ft travel trailer on a tent site. It is slow going on the roads. I did about a 1/2 mile per hour to get in and out. It is do-able though... At least, it's do-able if the roads are dry.

Also, it looks like they are starting work on the access road to the highway to the north. This will hinder you if you are going to Zion. Obviously the road construction won't take forever so just check to see if the road is closed if you plan on utilizing the campground close to the date of...

This place is beautiful! and remote and you have space. However on 4/6/21 at 1:40am im 99.9% sure I was the victim of some kind of artificial wind test conducted by utc aerospace on the hurricane mesa that overlooks this camping area it was extremely scary and unexplainable. Weather reports have no record of extreme winds anywhere near the virgin area that morning. We witnessed a cyclone and lighting discharge happening near the ground ive never heard of or experienced anything like this. Winds were strong enough to damage my tent and carry many of our belongings up into the air. Even tied down and secure items were lofted much like the uplift from a...

Awesome camping area & even better biking! There are several camping spots but some may not be RV friendly. There are a couple roads that have pretty good-sized ruts in them, but if you take it slow you'll have no issue. We have stayed here on 4 different occasions, all in different spots and no complaints. Very close to Hurricane, La Verkin, and not far from Washington/St. George. There are 2 close dump stations as well! Not to mention a stones throw from Zion National Park, Sand Hallow, Snow Canyon, and Quail Creek State Park!

We share more about the location on our YouTube channel -...

This place is fantastic it's only about 17 miles from the entrance of Zion National Park there is 4G service with Verizon and I got a free private Camp spot the only one with shade out of more than 100 spots so I'm pretty grateful :-) the dirt Trail is accessible by even a Prius so you'll be able to get to your spot in just about any car. I came for 3 Days mostly low wind but one day the wind was so hi while I was gone it crushed my tent down to a pancake! But all is well when I fixed it back up
