Where do I begin? Honestly, this is a beautiful park, well maintained and manicured. It is a great location, although there is another RV park actually in Springdale which is way more convenient to Zion. Where my issue lies is with the management. We got all checked in with no issue, the young woman checking me was an absolute delight. Super friendly and helpful. I made a comment about needing a level site. We drove to our site and I could tell immediately that it was NOT level, but my husband wanted to try it anyway. We tried to level our rig (which is a 40' Super C!), both of the front tires were about 8 inches off the ground. There was no fixing this problem! I drove back to the office and explained our situation, I wish I had taken pictures, but I just didn't think about it at the time. The original woman was not there, so another woman helped me. She was looking through the computer and said she couldn't find anything with consecutive 5 days. She had site 15 for 4 nights, but then we would have to move back to our original site for 1 night. So she got the manager to help further, and she was given a quick run down about our unlevel site. The manager's attitude was deplorable!! She actually said, "well, if we don't have anything, we don't have anything." Then she asked me, "Don't you have stabilizers?" I told her what kind of rig we are in and she said she didn't know a Class A from a Class C. Then I am thinking to myself, then what the the heck are you doing managing an RV park??? She just kept saying we don't have anything. Then she came up with the same scenario, move to site 15 for 4 nights and then don't know what to tell you or there was another site we could check out. We checked out both sites, one was impossible and again noticeably unlevel so we checked out 15, which was perfect. It was a concrete slab pull through. We opted for this site, I went back to the office and informed the staff we were in site 15 and would just boondock somewhere for our 5th night. Never once did she apologize or even try to work anything out. NEVER. Her attitude was unbelievable. This was a little upsetting, and I told her it is not OUR fault YOUR site is unlevel, I suggested bringing in more gravel and level it out. We went ahead and got all set up and talked about what we were going to do for our 5th night when we got a knock at our door, it was the first young woman and she informed us that they it worked out and we can stay for 5 nights in this site! The manager also came around the corner. I thanked them both. I do understand if there is no room, but having a little compassion or at least LOOK and ACT like you care! It was just "too bad" type attitude! THAT is what was so upsetting. We noticed several empty spaces throughout our stay and one really irritating factor was there were many empty spaces for smaller rigs, but they were put in these big 50 ft sites! Such a waste. Anyway, I would not ever stay here again and can't...

Our pull-through spot included a cement pad, a grassy area, a picnic table, and a fire pit. The back-in spots are on gravel only but do include picnic tables and fire pits too. We opted for the shuttle ride to and from Zion, which was great for not having to drive into Zion and find parking ourselves. My only recommendation for their shuttle service is to have a later pickup time. The latest is 2:30pm and getting around Zion and hiking easily takes much longer than that (We were rushed to get back in time for the shuttle, and would have liked to stay in Zion longer). I would suggest a 4:30 or 5pm pickup to shuttle back to the RV park. Other than that, the facilities at the RV park were clean, well-maintained, and they offer a lot of amenities. There's a general store with basic necessities (food items, camping items, etc) as well as souveniers and fun decor. There's a cute little "mining" setup where kids (and adults) could buy bags of dirt/gems and sift through it in the water stream to reveal hidden gems. My kids loved that! There's also a "social hall" with couches, tables, comfy chair, board games, books, cards, TV and DVDs, coffee, flyers for nearby adventures, etc. There are 2 different bathroom facilities, both with multiple toilet/sink/shower stalls - all very clean, stocked, and spacious. Laundry facility is there too with multiple washers and dryers (must have cash for these). There's a dog park and kids' playground on one far end of the RV park. We enjoyed multiple walks around the entire property exploring. There's a good sized pool and spa, very clean, heated in the winter. And lastly, there's a small walking bridge to access the Virgin River that flows just on the backend of this RV park. We spent a lot of time playing at the river and enjoying the sounds of the water flowing. Overall, Zion River Resort RV Park was amazing!!! We loved our stay there and would definitely visit again!! Until next time......
(Previous review) This is a pre-review, as my family has booked our first stay in a few weeks from now. However, Dara was an absolute pleasure to "meet" over the phone and I just wanted to extend a compliment her way. Since I booked our RV stay, I have called multiple times with many first-timer questions and Dara has been so wonderful, patient, and friendly. She's great to chat with and eager to answer all my questions. I'm looking forward to meeting her in person in March and already suspect my family will have a wonderful vacation at this RV park! We can't wait! ...

It is obvious the workers take pride in their work. After each camper departs, someone comes through to rake/sweep/level the site and they are friendly. They put money back into the park as they were planting a number of new trees and since our last visit, they upgraded their WiFi network. They send out excellent pre-arrival emails and rule reminders/cautions (like cold weather) while you are here. This is one of our favorite parks and would stay here again in the future. Cellular/WiFi with a full park: Verizon – No signal; T-Mobile – 107 down/6.2 up; WiFi - 24.0 down/20.8 up PREVIOUS: This is the 48th park we have visited and stayed for 15 nights – highly recommend it. Clean, convenient, inner sites with concrete pads with nice space, all paved roads, beautiful surroundings, many convenient dumpsters, mature trees, nice store, nice pool, grassy areas and excellent staff are the basis for my review. For staff, two great examples the first hours we arrived. There was a water leak at the post and while finishing set up, a maintenance person was right there to replace a part and give me some excellent pointers of things to do. When settling my account, spoke to Dan who was super nice and again, gave me some excellent ideas of things to do – and we added a couple to our itinerary. The staff worked hard to keep the park clean picking up trash, leveling the gravel sites, and picking up the falling autumn leaves.
For the convenience, the park is located on Highway 9; however, if you are sensitive to highway noise, this may be an issue for you if you are at the front of the park. The utilities were in good and had no issues with them. If you are here to disconnect, great. If you want full cellular, WiFi and cable services, this may not be the best place for you – we were perfectly fine. There is no Verizon service in the park and at midday when there were the fewest number of people, the WiFi was marginal/variable with 1.3 – 5.0 up and 0.17 – 1.8 down. There were few cable channels. The one bright spot in this area was T-Mobile with 270 up and 41.5 down (best at any park to date). Two things for the park to consider: (1) signage to better direct people to the sites (saw a number of people driving around lost and me giving them directions. (2) Limiting late night check ins to 10 pm (quiet hours). Had a number of “opportunities” for rude people talking loudly during late night set up including the most recent at 3 am. All in all would rate a 4.7 and would definitely stay here...
