Decided to camp here with coast to coast. Great location, very quiet. Full hookups to include 50amp, however the water is funky from iron. They said they hoped to have it fixed by the end of summer. It’s potable but has a very bad taste. We ended up buying bottled water at the close by Walmart. I think the water fouled my grey water tank sensors. Never had problems before and now all of sudden it reads 2/3’s full and they’re empty. Location is great. Easy drive to Virginia Beach and a 5 minute drive to Sandbridge beach. Only reason for 3 stars is due to the water. Stinks and has stained the shower and shower curtain and likely put a film on the tank sensors.

Campsite and where it is located very nice place. Close to beach and all. This is a membership only. It is not worth the membership money. Very little activities for kids or teens. The management needs replaced. Her and her daughter run the place not very much of a people person. Security very little. Lots of the people are Virginia if you are outsider treated much differently. The BOD is for the regulars but not if you are one that speaks your mind. Kids get bullied. The place has rules but only enforced by least favorites the campground has cliches. Lots of mosquitoes.

Nice campground. Clean and well-run. Filled with nice people. Great place for families. Grounds kept up beautifully. The showers have great water temp and pressure but need to be decorated and re-done. No place inside shower to put your toiletries, peeling paint, very narrow space to enter, floor drain covers loose. Just not what you expect for resort camping.

Bad experience. They don't like dogs!!!!! Our dog was hit on purpose by the lawn boy. He drove full speed on the industrial lawnmower and my dog was pushed into a picnic table. Tried to upload an image of the gashes in his skin. He threw up for hours and is still limping from being sore. The manager told my moms husband that it was moms fault because the dog was unattended, however my mom and brother watched it happen.thats not unattended. They don't care that he did that to the dog and protect the employee in the wrong. That's not the first time they avoid responsibility. In one weekend my family was fined $100 for dog poop clean up. Who can afford to camp with dogs at this place. Mom has always just cleaned the site once a day. We watched the neighbor site fill 6 bags with dog poop as they pulled off the lot to check out, but no fines for them. We assume it is because they have little dogs and we have a Dane. They don't like you this campground will do these things until you leave. They took the photos but never cleaned up the poop and fined us anyway. It's clearly stated its a clean up fee. The campground walks around on lots looking for poop to fine you, but my mom didn't clean up during the storm and they took pictures and left the poop. She was in a wedding for people at compground but has removed her camper and apologize for missing the festivities. She would rather miss her best friends events than be there any longer. She is selling membership and had to take our dog to vet today and hire a lawyer. Camp at own risk here!!! Was not like this last year....

I would love to give this place a 5, but it has a few issues. On the plus side, the location is beautiful. Only a few miles to the beach and close to several nature parks. The staff is super friendly, security and staff golf carts are everywhere and it is quiet at night. There are 3 large pools, bathhouses, and lots of activities for both adults and kids. The main issue has been addressed in many other reviews. It's on low land and it gets wet when it rains. We had a couple of frog choking rains and most of the streets got flooded. Riding around we saw that all of the camper pads are raised concrete and dry, so you just park as close as you can to the utility hookup side and you'll have a bit of a patio on your door side if things get wet. The other issue is that they are having major issues with their well. Evidently it got drained earlier this year and while they have applied for a new one, things are going through the approval process slowly. Our first morning the water out of the site feed was dark brown, even with a filter. We figured it might just be an unused site with a little rust buildup, but we let it run for almost a half hour. The filter jammed and the water was still brackish...see photo attached. It did clear up a bit over time, but everyone we talked to says they don't drink the park water, even though it's been cleared by the health dept. We went to Walmart and bought a few large bottles for cooking. We WILL come back again, but we will ask about the new well when we make our...

Disgusted by the staff! Went there in 2019 - booked & paid for a 2 week stay. While hanging out drinking at the campfire - the sales associate (husbands niece - family is the worst) came up & explained that we should just become members. We were already almost paying for the whole year. Sounds good - kept chatting - drinking & hanging out. She said she'd have the paperwork in the morning, give us full credit for what we had already paid, & collect the balance. Great - went in - she said sign here. BIG MISTAKE!!! We signed & went on our way. Came back one more time that summer. Next year (while caring for my mother end of life) I get a call - I need to pay dues or it's going to collections. I said, I had no idea it was an automatic renewal. The person (husbands Aunt) ridiculed me & said - I should have known - how ridiculous - of course it is - how could they ever do a next year budget. So......buyer beware!!!! Do not trust the staff. In particular Jackie Livingston (management) or Rachel Livingston (former sales). No morals - unethical - & basically...
