I’m a new seasonal this year. I was a seasonal at another campground for 37 years. Which my children grew up at and we absolutely loved the place. Grandkids were born and they two loved it. The campground was sold and we stayed. Then in 2021 they decided they didn’t want seasonal’s anymore. So I moved to a different one and stayed for three years. At the end of last year I decided it wasn’t the place for me anymore. Yes it was close to the beach but the management was terrible. they Had no compassion for a friend whose husband was dying and basically forced them to put a $1500. non refundable deposit down which she knew she wouldn’t be able to return. So for that I left. I had heard of Natures through a former seasonal and friend. She raved about it the entire ten years she was there! I couldn’t even imagine that it could in anyway be better than our first place that she left. My cousin has been camping At natures for years also and raved about it! I guess I was too settled at our first place not even considering a change. Well last October I needed to find a seasonal campsite for this year. I called everywhere and Natures Campground was the only on that would accommodate me ! Not only were they accommodating then but this year when the season opened they are still there helping me in every way possible! It’s a private owned not corporate ! I hope they never sell it to a corporation because you can’t compare the two. Nature’s cares about their seasonals! They have more activities then any other campground I have ever been too! Memorial Day weekend was so amazing! Everyday their was numerous activities for both kids and adults! Hayrides, bands, dj and dancing. Bingo, crafts, food trucks, even the two pools were open even in the cold! Bon fire’s ,fishing. They are right on a river, where you can rent kayaks and canoes if you don’t have your own. There is even paintball right next-door to the campsite. You don’t even have to drive anywhere to get to one they have so many places to go walking and hiking. They’re right in the Patchogue Forest. It was an unbelievable experience. They have like five parks within the campground for kids to play at basketball courts, Volleyball courts, Cornhole, etc. I would highly recommend this Campground to anyone young. or old. I know I will be here as long as I’m still on this earth. Great job Natures Campground. I can’t wait for my family to come ! They too are going to love it!

A few weeks ago we called to inquire about tent camping at Natures Campsites in Voluntown, Ct. The person on the phone was so friendly and helpful. A couple of days later, we took a ride down on the motorcycle to check out the available sites. Upon arriving, the owner, Nathan met us at the office and allowed us to take a golf cart around to scope out the available sites. He let us roam around and didn’t rush us. So far, 10 out of 10 experience, and we hadn’t even camped yet. When we arrived this past Thursday, the spot we had settled on was flooded due to the rain. To our joy and surprise, the site that we actually wanted was available until Sunday. We asked if we could stay at that one from Thursday to Sunday and move over to the one next to it from Sunday to Monday. As you can probably guess, the staff was more than accommodating! Throughout the weekend, we had wood delivered, at a fair price, so that we could cook food on the fire. There was also an ice cream truck, baby goats, and live music that was nothing less than exceptional. In addition, we were able to rent a canoe and take it out on the river next to the campground. Natures Campsites also has a pool, playground, and community events for the whole family. We have been to a few different campgrounds in Connecticut, and while they are all pretty great, Natures Campsites takes the cake. We will definitely be coming back here again with family and friends. Nathan, Heidi, Nate Jr., Kendall, and the rest of the staff made our experience second to none. I doubt we will ever camp anywhere else. - Jesse James

This was our first time camping out as a family. It was a great experience. The staff waa friendly & answered all of our questions. There were events planned throughout the day for the kiddos. They really enjoyed the dance party. The bathrooms look new, they were also very clean. We stayed at group site 1 which was fairly close to the bathroom/showers, pools & entrance. Some of the other campers were nice others were standoffish and to themselves. The only downside was the price of the wood. You're not allowed to bring outside wood (which we understand) but we paid $58.00 for a cart full of wood that we were told should last the whole weekend. (We only made one meal). It didn't so we had to pay $14.00 for more wood for another night. The amount of wood we received the first night didn't look any different from the amount we received the second night. Nevertheless we let it be and continued to have a great time.

I have never been more disappointed with a camping experience as my experience this weekend at Natures Campsites. Growing up in a camping family visiting campgrounds all over New England as a child and virtually the same as an adult, In 36 years of adult camping I have never visited a campground where I was a camper for less than 24 hours. And experienced nothing but unprofessionalism, discrimination, ignorance, and arrogance. In 36 years I have never had any issues with any place I’ve camped and here I’ve had more issues than one should face in a lifetime. It’s really a shame because the grounds are beautiful. The management and ownership is very poor and lacking customer service skills, legal advice citing laws and policies for literally everything.. however there were policies and laws allowed to be broken by other campers there. To confiscate a bike from my 12 year old autistic foster child is wrong under any circumstances. When the parent of that child requests to have the bike given back, they are told they will get it back upon checkout stating it was “state law”. Which is absolutely unacceptable and illegal for someone who preaches the law. When asked to have the law provided in writing they were unable to produce by office staff or owner. My husband DEMANDED the bike back. I then called the office and advised the office staff that there will be no communication by them with ANY of the 5 children in our party (4 of which are special needs). She then tried advising me of state laws and policies posted at various places in the campground to which I had no interest in hearing. I was discussing the situation at hand. The fact of the matter is that discussion should happen with the parent!

This caused all 4 the children to be uncomfortable and begging to leave and go home. When they did nothing wrong and were simply riding their bikes. My granddaughter who has a life threatening condition was interrogated without an adult about “what was wrong with her” and demanded information regarding her medical diagnoses so the young campground worker could “make a determination if she is able to ride without a helmet”.

Due to the impending hurricane we were also told we needed to leave a day early with NO refund for the day we lost, because they have a “no refund policy”. It’s not like we cancelled. We were told we would have to leave.

Funny that their name is Natures Campsites however it’s more like residing in the confines of a city.

We kept to ourselves yet still had a target on our back. It’s an experience I will never forget.

Instead of the owner having a discussion with us regarding our issues, he contacted a family member who is seasonal. That’s great customer service right? I think not. As an owner he should have taken ownership of the issues and addressed them only with us. The issues did not involve our family member who’s a seasonal camper who didn’t need to get involved.

The reason for our planned weekend visit was to scout out a seasonal campground for the next camping season. Glad we made the visit before hand. For we will surely not be back.

Nathan- I notice you like to reply to reviews, no need to comment. There is NOTHING you can do to...

Natures Campgrounds in Voluntown Connecticut:||To the owner of the campground; your employees made an error, not me. Please address it with them and do not take it out on your customers. |||| The staff misrepresented the rules of the owner.||||I came to visit my brother in my converted school bus. I was given a (camper) pink pad instead of a visitor (yellow) we went to go shopping. when we returned I notice the bus wasn't plugged into the outlet (only have a fan running for my dog, it was 85 and humid.) the cord for the bus was wrapped around my mirror. the owner of the camp ground shows up 2 min later and explains that campground(he) dose not allow 2 campers on one site. This was not said to us when I got here. if that was the case... I would have not stayed here at all.||||For $60 a nite, you can't use electric to power a fan. ||||I was told that I want to stay here, I would have to park my bus on the out side the main gate. ||||I understand that everyone has rules.... I just didn't care for the way he notified us of his rules that where not explained to me upon arrival. ||||The owner was arrogant and self centered. word for word "I own this place and this is the way it's going to be!" ||||As for the place in my opinion.... this is the Central Falls of camp grounds. the bathrooms are dirty and full of cob/spider webs and the property is not maintaind. ||||The Staff is nice, but the owner needs a serious attitude adjustment. he has lost a customer. I will never come here again. I will pass on my review of this place everytime someone asks me about it. ||[|| if you have any more questions (the general public or the owner of the property. please call me...
