The campground is a hidden gem! We had a site on the water (63) which was between two rocky beaches up on a ledge. Beautiful sunset. We stayed during a heavy storm and our site drained well - virtually no mud. Right under the flight path of the Waco Airport, we enjoyed watching the occasional airplane. Not too noisy, in fact quiet and peaceful overnight. Very large, well spaced sites. Many shelters are damaged due to storms, so no shade unless you bring your own.

Probably the most level site we've ever stayed in while FT traveling this past six years. Cement pull- thru with cement patio, picnic table, firepit and grill... right on the lake. The park locks their gates at 10 pm until 6 am, so if you're a late night partier, you might want to stay elsewhere. But if you like quiet, beautiful views, close to Waco, and spacious suites... you'll probably enjoy this park. ...
