We stayed here for 2 nights visiting Waco and the Magnolia Market. We chose this RV park because of the great reviews. However, we now realize that the reviews are for the cabins, not the RV spots. There are only a few RV spots and only #3 and #8 were available for "transient" stays. We chose #8 as it was on the end and a pull-thru (we have a 25 foot Airstream). The spot is on a side to side downhill slope and the sewer hook-up is above the sewer output on our trailer (probably for most trailers) - of course, this is a problem when emptying. The spot is also VERY rocky. We put out our awning only to realize we couldn't sit under it because of the slope and we had to wear shoes at all times because the rocks poked thru our mat. Read morePost Oak RV Park and Cabins is a super nice place to stay for a night or for a week or longer. Everything is clean and well taken care of. The cabins are super nice. They even have a brand new, air conditioned laundromat, with clean, new, high capacity, washers and dryers. You can have your propane bottles filled on site. The owner/ manager and his family, are very attentive to any special needs and live on adjoining property. They are constantly making improvements and are just now expanding the number of RV sites. The location is just down the road from Homestead Heritage, another great place to stop and visit. I heartily recommend this place, and am sure you will be more than satisfied...
Read moreThis was our second visit to Oak Post. The first time we stayed in the beautiful cabins, this time was in our RV. Despite the rainy weather, access to our final spot was easy and effortless. All services: electric, water, sewer were 1st rate. Jim and his son even provided a picnic table for our use. Just minutes away are a few of our favorite places to visit in Waco; the Homestead Heritage community, Cameron park, Magnolia (Chip & Joann) and Baylor University. Evenings are quite and mornings are filled with birds singing away. Grab your morning coffee, chair and enjoy the red cardinals and blue jays.
Be sure to call ahead for reservations and Jim and his assistant will ensure all your...
