This is our first trip to this park. We got here at about 9pm. Luckily, the rangers were here, as we needed their help to find our camping site. We stayed in site 43. The site is situated on an outcropping on the lake surrounded by creeks. The jetty of land where site 43 was situated, also had sites 41 and 42. These areas are grassy, no asphalt. The last 3 site groupings are the same. All the other sites are developed. We drove around and found we also liked site 34, 36, and 37. The bathrooms were clean and the staff and rangers were amazing. The only draw back was in my opinion, lack of signage. I wish there were more signs telling us where to go. I missed the turn fir the camping sites a couple of times. Just so you know, turn left as soon as you pass the gate station.
All in all, while the unpaved was a bit different for us, we loved our site. It's on the lake, with great lake views, a covered picnic table eating area, with a 50 amp plug and water. Now, if it was raining, I would definitely choose paved vs. unpaved. Next time we will bring our boat and possibly the kayaks...

My husband tumbled down the hill (it wasn’t cuter he still is 💕). The driveway is short, it was shaded and the area was a decent size. There’s only a grill,no fire pit.
Sadly for us, it rained the entire weekend. Pretty much all day every day.
There’s a bathroom in the next loop so please don’t be in a hurry to get there because it’s not very close. Count slowly as it walk. We did not have access to the water.
We saw the park ranger drive through once or twice. He may have driven by more but we were outside and didn’t...

Rec dot gov reserved me a "pull thru" site that wasn't...I had to BACK in 65 feet from main camp road with my 39 foot 5th wheel. Lady at the entrance gate is more than awesome and helped all she could. Ranger came in all excited at me, where I was parked (it was my assigned spot) not my fault it wasn't long enough but I was on phone an couldn't talk to him at that moment...other adjoining campers said he was going to tell me to move but they told him I was fine right there. Never...
