I full time as a solo female in my RV so I have a lot of opinions about RV parks. When I stay at RV parks, they’re usually KOAs and I have some requirements: laundry, clean showers, safety, minimal noise, wifi/cell signal/both, I don’t love it when more than half of the park are long term residents, I often make same day reservations (very easy to do here via their website but I wouldn’t do during peak times of the year), and an absolute must: no drama. So here’s my thoughts on the Waco Creekside RV park: This place is very, very peaceful. Killer sunsets. It’s clearly new, so there’s some things that aren’t yet in place (ie. Gate lock, some muddy areas where the grass hasn’t finished growing in, no dog park, no playground, no hooks for towels in bathroom, and areas that appear to be used for expansion further down the road, my guess fall/winter of 2023). Because it’s new, the showers are really really really clean and beautifully done. You can still smell the paint (as of February 2023). The laundry are the normal coin Maytag machines, and they have plenty for the current number of sites. The buildings and tree houses all use the same type of wood with beautiful copper roofs. All in all, it’s really classy and beautifully done. The RV sites are Texas sized and paved, totally level, and there’s a picnic table and fire pit. Oddly enough, the fire pit is not Texas sized, which is probably a good thing for the pyros out there. Then, of course, they have the basics: sewage (two per site), electric, water and a plus: wifi fast enough for streaming. I stayed in site 1, which was on the end. There was some road noise, but nothing that bad. The coyotes (and unfortunately my dogs) were louder than the road noise. If road noise bothers you, don’t stay in sites 1-9. The other sites are farther away from the road, but it looks like they are planning on building another row for RV sites on that other side so you might want to check with them if and when they plan on expanding the RV sites during the dates of your stay. All in all, I loved this place. It’s about a mile or two off on the interstate, and it took me maybe 10 to 15 minutes to drive into town to that magnolia place (which fyi, is closed on sundays). I made my reservation via their website on a Saturday around 3pm, arrived around 5, I just drove straight to my site, and shortly after that got a welcome text from the manager and that was really a pleasant way to begin my stay. I found out later from the manager that they close on Saturdays around 12 and are closed on Sundays. So if you’re a super last minute planner like I am, it’s still doable, but be aware of their office hours. My stay here has just felt seamless and easy which is always nice when things don’t always...

We hosted our family reunion here in mid-July 2025, and the experience was nothing short of amazing. Our group included about 30 overnight guests staying Thursday through Sunday, plus 10 more who joined for a day trip. We reserved 11–12 cabins/treehouses and 2 RV sites - every single space was spotless, well-maintained, and stocked with thoughtful essentials (the little chocolates left for us were such a sweet surprise!). From the beautifully designed bathrooms to the outdoor furnishings, everything truly exceeded expectations. This is luxury RV and cabin glamping at its best.
The real gem of the weekend was the clubhouse, which we reserved for both Friday and Saturday. It was perfect; clean, spacious, and well-equipped with a full kitchen, indoor seating, patio furniture, onsite restrooms, and a gorgeous view of the lake. It made hosting group meals and activities so easy and comfortable.
Jason, the General Manager, was incredible to work with. He was laid-back, honest, and so helpful throughout our planning and stay. He gave us a great tour of the grounds while also making sure we had the space to enjoy our time together.
The welcome center/general store was super convenient, and was open during regular business hours and stocked with snacks, RV supplies, and more. Just plan ahead if you need anything after hours.
While there’s no pool (yet), we were told one may be coming soon… fingers crossed for 2026! In the meantime, there’s plenty to keep guests happy and entertained: pickleball courts, a huge dog run, two stocked fishing lakes, and lots of shady green space to relax and enjoy the outdoors.
Waco Creekside is a hidden gem, and we couldn’t have asked for a better location to reconnect, relax, and make lasting memories as a family. We’ll...
Read moreI simply cannot say enough wonderful things about this lovely place...Waco Creekside Resort. I discovered Creekside several years ago. My brother and his wife lived about 2 miles down the road. I actually watched it being built wondering what was this was going to be. Well, I quickly found out. Because my brother's house wasn't large enough to accommodate, we decided to call and rent a cabin or a treehouse. Each house is named after a bird and is decorated as such. It truly is a designer decor for nature, and for the comfort of those staying there. I thought the infamous Chip and Joanna Gaines had decorated these cabins. The most comfortable beds, coffee in the cabins and little touches of my favorite chocolates on each bedside table. Nothing is better than waking up, making your coffee to sit out on your front porch and watch the sun come up. Heaven on earth...all day long. Then in the evening, sitting by the campfire drinking wine or hot chocolate visiting with friends or family.
I cannot leave this review without mentioning Jason. There has not been a time when I have called last minute and he has always accommodated me. Being a single woman, I feel very save there. Every chance I get to visit, there are even more improvements....this last time about a week ago, I was floored to see a Pickleball Court!!! OMG!!! I told him how thrilled I was to see it, and he let me know that he has the paddles and balls. So Awesome!! If I could give Waco Creekside Resort 10 stars, I would!!!! Oh, I would love to tell you my favorite cabins, but everyone of them are my favorites!!!! You simply cannot go wrong with any of them. If stairs are not a problem for you, try one of the treehouses....they are incredible and fun. I see a road trip coming up...
