My husband and I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Round Barn Farm for our 25th anniversary. This was our second time visiting this cozy B&B. Our first time we stayed in the Spinning Suite, and this time the Cycling Suite. Again, it was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment we arrived, our hosts were incredibly welcoming and hospitable, making us feel right at home.

What we loved most about our stay was being enveloped in the cozy and romantic atmosphere. The lighting, fireplace, chairs, and blankets in our room were a lovely touch, and it created the perfect ambiance for snuggling up on a chilly evening. And let's not forget the jacuzzi - it was the ultimate way to unwind after a long day of exploring the nearby town.

Speaking of exploring, the location of the Round Barn Farm couldn't be better. There are plenty of local attractions, and whether you are hitting the scenic bike trails or visiting downtown Red Wing - which is full of cute shops, restaurants, and beautiful views of the Mississippi River, you'll love returning to the comfort of the farm.

The food was absolutely delicious, and the hosts were incredibly hospitable. They truly went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect in every way. We woke to a delicious sweet treat outside of our room, and for breakfast, they prepared coffee, a variety of fresh fruit and homemade dishes, including fluffy eggs, pancakes, sausage, and freshly squeezed orange juice, which left us feeling full and satisfied.The attention to detail - from the spring tulips centerpiece, to the decor, mugs, wine glasses, and amenities… everything was truly impressive

All in all, the Round Barn Farm is the perfect destination for a cozy and romantic getaway. It was a great place to celebrate our anniversary and we believe it would be the ultimate Pinterest-worthy wedding venue. We highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable and special experience. Five stars doesn't even begin to do it justice - it's truly a gem in the heart of Minnesota and we cannot wait to return next time and stay in the Willow Suite (it's a must see and so lovely…the pictures can't possibly capture how neat it is).

The Picturesque Grounds: The surrounding grounds are just as beautiful. I grew up in Idaho and I miss the Mountains, so the rolling hills, lush greenery, and stunning views make me think of home. They provide endless opportunities for gorgeous ceremony setups and photo backdrops. I love incorporating the natural beauty of the landscape into my floral designs, using wildflowers and seasonal elements to complement the surroundings. Imagine a ceremony arch adorned with blooms overlooking the valley – it's pure magic! The different areas of the property also allow for distinct spaces for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception, which provides a nice flow to the event.

The Charming Details: Beyond the barn and the views, it's the smaller details that truly make Round Barn Farm special. The stone walls, the vintage feel, the cozy bed and breakfast itself that you can stay in and the quaint nearby town of Red Wing. Nestled amongst the soft bluffs of the Mississippi river valley just minutes outside of Redwing, the Round Barn B&B offers a serene escape that perfectly blends the charm of the 1800s with modern comforts. The property is very well manicured, with neatly kept grounds that lead up to the historic buildings, which live up to the nostalgic feel of a classic farmhouse. Upon our arrival, we were greeted by Pepin, their energetic spaniel, who welcomed us with a warm howl and enthusiastic wags of her tail. Wendy and Kirk, the hosts, met us soon after with a freshly opened bottle of wine, a selection of Wisconsin’s best cheeses, and a guided tour that included the rich history of the house and property.

We stayed in the Cycle room, which was incredibly spacious and inviting with its warm, time period and themed appropriately decor. Post dinner in town, the extra roomy jacuzzi tub was calling us. Snuggling into bed was luxurious with soft linens that added that extra touch of elegance to the cozy atmosphere. The mattress was divinely comfy, making it incredibly difficult to get out from under the comforter the next morning. Despite missing the sit-down breakfast that other guests had attended, we did not leave empty-handed. Wendy and Kirk offered us a serving to go, which included a delectable egg soufflé, mini mashed potato dish, and the most delicious scone we had ever tasted. These two are wonderful cooks and, most of all, excellent hosts.

We highly recommend The Round Barn B&B for anyone looking for a romantic and yet peaceful retreat in a beautiful setting.
