Shady Grove Resort — Hotel in Wadena

If I could give this resort a 0 star that is exactly what I would give. I called to inquire and left a message about their RV site availability and a possible boat rental. Owner (Female) called me back with a harsh tone not even saying hello or even an introductions, literally the first words out of her mouth were, "WE DON"T HAVE AVAILABILITY"! I then proceeded to ask if they do boat rentals for non-guests. She abruptly replied, "WE ARE IN THE MIDDLE OF A STORM, I'M HANGING UP". Well rude lady, don't call back if you are in the middle of a storm and cannot show someone that is interested in giving your business patronage the common human courtesy of at least speaking in a respectful manner.

If she treats potential customers this way, I cannot image she treats paying customers any better. I would think twice and look elsewhere and not put your money into this rude...

We just left here today. It was our first stay at this resort and it was overall nice. Clean cabins, stocked bait and the ice cream was really good. My negative was a big one for me. I was sitting at the table talking with the kids and the gentleman that owns the place walked up to our cabin, I was curious why but figured no worries, I would find out. Would you believe he just walked in without even knocking? No tap on the door nothing. I could have been walking around with a towel on. I was very uncomfortable, and from then on, I locked the door.
