My husband and I got married at the Inn at Round Barn Farm this September and highly recommend it! We live in California (but my husband is from Vermont) so we had most of our planning meetings on Zoom, but were able to visit a few venues in and around Waitsfield and fell in love with this venue. The planning process was very smooth and Beverly was a joy to work with. Beverly gave us a lot of confidence throughout the process so that on the big day we were able to sit back and enjoy it. In particular, she helped us coordinate with the chef on making our menu accommodate several dietary restrictions in the family (GF, dairy) and we were quite impressed with the results. The food was delicious and accommodated everyone very well (including breakfast!)! The Round Barn also has lists of recommended vendors and worked with all of ours to coordinate arrivals and drop offs so we could focus on other aspects of planning.
The location is absolutely stunning with multiple gorgeous outdoor ceremony options. We had our rehearsal dinner in the Milking Parlor so we got to use both levels of the Round Barn. Leading up to our wedding we were very worried about getting rained out, but the Round Barn has a great indoor backup location (the Milking Parlor) so we knew it would all be taken care of in the event of rain. Fortunately for us, it didn’t rain and we got to enjoy the pond location as originally planned.
On top of everything, we also really appreciated Beverly and the staff’s attention to detail. While we waited after cocktail hour for our guests to settle into the reception Beverly made sure we got a chance to sit, offered to bring us beverages, and even ran a last minute message to our DJ. After our first dance we found an artfully presented platter of our passed canapes from cocktail hour waiting on our table (in case we hadn’t had a chance to try them) and at the end of the night all of the gifts and cards from our guests were neatly tucked in our hotel room for us.

Read moreThe Round Barn was all we’d hoped it would be and more! The property is exquisite and while we were disappointed that this year's rainy summer kept us from enjoying a ceremony in the glorious gardens we were relieved that we had chosen a venue with an excellent plan B. The barn is beautiful and it didn't take much to create a truly magical environment. The Inn itself is a lovely spot for your closest family members and guests. We were very quickly made to feel at home. Pretty rooms, yummy breakfast and a variety of terrific gathering spots.
Everyone says to be sure to be fully present and truly enjoy the wedding weekend but as the host, that's not easy or straightforward. The team at the Round Barn had our backs though and we weren't distracted by any to-dos or concerns once the party got underway. All the staff were attentive and responsive (I was grateful for the opportunity to create personally tailored food and beverage menus with Kayla and Bryson) but Beverly was definitely the glue. We would not be basking in the glow of a perfect wedding weekend if it weren't for her incredible attention to detail and calm but firm personal touch. She has a lot of experience working with couples and families to plan once in a lifetime events and it shows. The trusting relationship we built in the months of planning leading up the wedding was so important. I would be remiss if I didn't mention the owner Kim who appeared out of nowhere midway through the evening to help manage a mini-emergency with the bride's bustle (she was down on her hands and knees pinning it back in to place!).
Our vendors were huge fans of the venue and staff too ... how lucky we were to have a dream team!

Read moreIt has been over a year since we got married at the Round Barn, and our guests are STILL talking about this being the best wedding they've ever attended. We were bursting at the seams both in the number of people attending our wedding and in number events we were hosting over multiple days, but the staff stepped up and made every event special.
The owner, Kim, prides herself on having a venue and staff that can make any brides dream wedding come true and she did not disappoint. I am by no means a bridezilla, but I was very particular about the vision that I had for my wedding. Beverly, the wedding planner, meticulously worked out every detail to make sure we had what I envisioned.
And the food was delicious!!! Kayla, the chef, had many inventive menu options and she was fantastic with dietary restrictions. This venue, really prides themselves on handling dietary needs, and I was impressed at how they handled this because we had many dietary needs with our different guests. And everything tasted so good!!! Even the cocktails were good. Bryce was great with creating inventive cocktails. He even worked with me to create some special ones for our different events, so the bar menu was different every night. Such a fun detail.
I can't say enough positive things about this venue and about the staff. I look back a year later and I feel so blessed and honored to have been able to host the wedding of my dreams at this venue. I would highly recommend this team to anyone.
And Waitsfield is such a special place. You couldn't find a more beautiful New England backdrop for a wedding weekend. I still get goosebumps when I think about it. I feel...
