This was the stay from hell. The manager at the property harassed me, discriminated against me, and then lied on me when I politely asked them why didn’t they clean my room after they promised me that they would.
I didn’t have any towels, toilet paper, and housekeeping didn’t clean. Keep in I stayed there for over a week.
I returned to my room after I pick my dog up from the groomer. My room smelled horrible because I had seafood in the trash and no one had taken the trash out the day before as requested and they also didn’t take the trash out because they didn’t clean the room.
Everything that I am saying is the absolute TRUTH. There is so much more to the story and it’s a whole lot worse than what I can fit in this review.
When I went downstairs to speak to the manager, I never once raised my voice. I never was disrespectful. The manager with the short hair found me to be a pain because I was asking them why they never cleaned my room.
When I asked her what happened? She literally sat there ignoring me. Then when I asked if there was someone else I could speak to, she threw her business card at me & threatened to put me out of the hotel if I spoke another word to her. Crazy.
So I left and I contacted corporate and corporate gave me a phone number to some agency. I don’t know if she is working with a temp agency or whatever but I contacted them to complain.
After I got off the phone with them, she came upstairs and she was taking out the trash by my room.
I stood there with my service animal, having a conversation with the housekeeper. There were two housekeepers one of the housekeepers did not speak English at all, and I know a little bit of Spanish so I was communicating with her and when the other housekeeper heard me talking, she asked me if I knew Spanish.
Then she begin apologizing for not showing up. I told her that it was OK. We never got into an argument or anything. The lady was really nice and apologetic and I was understanding.
After the manager had just threw a business card at me, she came up to my room, trying to talk to my dog, telling about how cute she was. Weird.
So since she seemed to be in a better mood, I tried to have a conversation with her like an adult.
I give people grace, and I understand that sometimes people have attitudes because they have personal things going on.
I tried to reexplain when I attempted to communicate to her earlier
I said to her, “I wasn’t trying to be difficult. You threatened to put me out of the hotel just because I asked you why didn’t the housekeepers come?”
She replied, “Yeah, I said it and I can still put you out.”
The best way that I can explain it is watching someone react that has bipolar disorder.
Yes, she really said that after she attempted to have a conversation with me after she had just disrespected me and threatened to put me out the first time because I asked her what is corporate contact number.
The regional manager contacted me less than an hour after the manager spoke to me like that again.
When the regional manager contacted me, she was unprofessional. Instead of talking to me directly & taking my concerns seriously, she decided to make a four-way call.
She contacted the manager that I had an issue with, which was totally inappropriate and unprofessional.
Before that happened, the manager continued to question me and harass me about my service animal. In a nutshell she told me that I was lying and she questioned my condition even after I told her what I suffered from.
When all else failed and they couldn’t upset me, the hotel manager line and said that I disrespected a cleaner. Unlike the hotel manager, they apologized and I was understanding. Me and the housekeeper were actually laughing & having a great conversation.
I never raised my voice once, but because I said that wasn't true, THEY PUT ME OUT OF THE HOTEL after I spent my whole entire morning, dealing with...

You basically zigzag through the truck stop parking lot then through a small shopping area and find your way to the hotel. If you make the wrong turn, you’ll hit a block and have to go back around the truck stop and find another path around. I understand some of this may be out of control for Marriott but either clear signs from the road could have been posted so we didn’t make four attempts to get into the parking lot or at a minimum send a courtesy email to incoming guests about the entrance. Check in was a disappointment. I am a gold member and was not greeted or thanks for my status at check in. She didn’t even look up from her computer or say hello at best. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. We had a king/sofa bed room and the sofa/desk area is a little separated so there was plenty of room to pull out the bed and still have space for luggage. We had loud neighbors who blasted their music most of the night but the hotel itself was otherwise very quiet. The next morning for breakfast you could tell the staff was completely unprepared. The hotel was booked full and they left out a few bowls of cereal, bagels & muffins and a half gallon of soy milk. The coffee was empty and there was no hot water. This left about 20 of us waiting around for more food to be brought it but it never happened. Knowing the hotel was fully booked I think they would have been better served by just creating grab n go bags like every other Marriott I’ve stayed at post covid has done. Fortunately we food a place to eat quickly elsewhere so we were not late for our event but others who arrived at the breakfast area after us told us they didn’t get any breakfast at all. Overall the room was nice but maybe not worth a repeat stay. This is an annual event, if they don’t have an established entrance next year we won’t stay there. Swerving through a truck stop with 18-wheelers is just ridiculous. We are a Marriott family and they are the only hotels we stay at so we know the expectations. Although the hotel is clean and the rooms are comfortable, the service at this one is subpar and needs a lot of...
Read moreNice clean new hotel, but has many issues. Employees we met were pleasant but not competent in our judgment. WiFi was good. You may find as we did that your GPS cannot find the hotel. This is because the street address is correct but the city is wrong. It is posted above hotel entry address is Hockley TX not Waller. You would think someone at the Marriott Fairfield corporate level may have caught this and corrected on the website,||||First room we got #330 had a very loud banging which turned out to be the hotel banner blowing and slamming into an exterior wall. We were moved and new room was much quieter. Unfortunately there was a cock roach on the white shower curtain in the new room. We killed it and made a thorough search..having found no more we did decide to stay in the room. I am not certain there was another available room and the entire Houston area was flooded with Louisiana refugees from Hurricane Delta. I did however mention to the desk clerk later when passing by and he merely commented they had pest control. Okay but that was a mighty healthy looking insect I noted. Next issue with this hotel is the pool is closed. Never mind the website says open 10 am to 10 pm. Oh and despite air conditioner being set at 70 in the room, it was humid and felt much warmer than 70, so I am guessing management overrides temperature a guest sets at thermostat. Last issue..we stayed 2 nights and specifically requested a room clean. At 2pm we asked again where was housekeeping and were assured room would be cleaned. Well..of course it was not. When we complained to the lady at the front desk at check out, she stated, “well..if you came down and got new towels..that was the important issue..right?” Ummm..no..professionalism and a clean room was what we needed. ||||Breakfast was skimpy and many items empty. No microwave to heat the instant oatmeal they provide for instance. I would not recommend this hotel. Too many disappointments, and...
