Bear Creek Campgrounds — Hotel in Walpack Township

Quiet, idyllic, and rustic. I rode my scooter from Pennsylvania and had only a one person backpacking tent. The proprietor and his family seemed like decent folk, I didn't hear any foul language out of them at all which is something I don't see much these days. It was refreshing. Bear Creek Campground is close to great hiking trails and has a beautiful creek running in the back with good rainbow trout fishing available. This was the only campground with availability left on Memorial Day weekend when we were reserving for a tent location. We were assigned a location right next to the creek. Had a great time camping with the family. Make sure you call ahead for reservation. We didn't make one but the owner and his brother were so nice and we're able to accommodate us within such a short notice.
