Whatever you do DONOT IGNORE my review! i am by no means a picky snobb as some people are and complain about everything.no i am being honest with you.i normally do not write reviews but i feel it is necessary in this instance. I would like to spare everyone the heartache. I booked on groupon the 4 night basic trailer or cabin. I chose the trailer. I arrived the 1st night around 4:30 am. When i went in i COULD NOT believe the horror. It was old-maybe from the 80s, smelled like mold and broken down trailer. I AM NOT exxagerating.the screened door was missing the screen.there was a non operating kitchen sink-with the faucet removed, the sofa was dirty, stained, the floor was filthy and dark. I have a baby and a toddler and we were all so tired we decided to really just give it the benefit of the doubt and put a sheet on the bed to go to sleep. I woke up to a living breathing nightmare-there were tiny bugs on the bed-everwhere.the place is infested. We all went and showered and came back. The bathrooms are so dirty they have copper rings on the inside. When i returned to my trailer i looked thru the window on the blinds there were hundreds of ants entering the room. I decided i would no longer be sleeping in there.thank God my husband brought a tent and we set up the tent outside. We brought bug spray, candles, lit a fire however it was extremely difficult to cook or eat, because of the amount of mosquitos. It was horrible, nothing helped. I have been camping before and ofcourse youre going to deal with bugs but this was rediculous. I went to the office to try and see what i could do because i hated everything about this place and wanted to see if i could be switched somewhere else. The owners were not available then and i left a message at the front desk. They did come by later on and i explained to them the situation of the room and they said that they have those bugs in their trailer as well. I HIGHLY doubt that. They said that they could fumigate however when i leave because it wasnt possible to do that now since i had my small kids. That they have someone who comes over and cleans and would do it when we were done with the room. This trailer doesnt look like its EVER been cleaned, there was dirt and spider webs. They said they would see if they could think of something to try and accomodate me however they never came back. That night needless to say we all slept in our tent. I really tried to give this place the benefit of the doubt. I shouldve just packed up and left. That night i did not sleep. There was loud music and a party until God only knows what time. I thought at a campsite at night they should have quiet hours well that didnt happen here. That day i left and let them keep the sheet on the bed. now i have to deal with disinfecting and washing everything that was in the room, as the bugs in there were insane. What was supposed to be a restful vacation turned out to be an exhausting nightmare.please do not listen to the wonderful reviews you see online as i did.ITS ALL A LIE, YOU...

I am doing a 2 part review...one for campground and one for trailer. We did a Groupon Deal for the trailer rental to check out this campground and the location. When we first arrived there was a lot of trash out front. We overlooked it and called the front and they cleared it away for us. As we approached the deck we saw 2 big holes in it...again..no big deal we figured we can work with this. We did notify the front and they said they are working on the deck come Monday. Interesting reply but we still wanted to make the best of our trip. Upon entering the trailer we came to find that the TV, radio and back room lights didn't work and the refrigerator hadn't been cleaned out. We did what we needed to get things up and going and did notify the front yet again. So as far as the trailer it was awful. We had lot #5 and it was the basic one. I sure hope their working on it or get rid of it. There is also a horrible run down trailer next to it . ||||As far as the campground I really liked the location due to alot of different shore points that you can access. It is very quiet and family oriented. Also if you love boating, canoeing etc..there are alot of areas that you can go to. They have a nice clean pool, mini golf and an arcade; more so for younger children.||Sadly I gave a 2 star rating due to the lack of anything offered to help assist us with the trailer and all the issues and the fact that my husbands foot went through the deck and they still said nothing. I will be doing a TripAdvisor as well as a Groupon review. So if you are going to check this out, my advise is to definitely upgrade your trailer don't do the basic. BUT if you encounter anything like this just make the most of it because there is a lot to enjoy...
