Munster Mansion — Hotel in Waxahachie

Oh man, my review is soooooooo late! I surprised my family and best friend with a tour of this mansion during my visit from out of state. They are big fans of the show. The wife was a total sweetheart, and the husband was a fantastic tour guide. You can tell they have so much passion for this project. He loved going into detail about how they built everything, made certain decor, and what they thrifted. I also loved their creativity in designing spaces that weren't seen in the show.

I was upfront with them that one of the children has autism and ADHD. They were very communicative, ensuring that nothing in the tour would upset him. A few weeks ago on my way to Ft. Worth I made a quick stop over in a small town called Waxahachie Texas. I was there cause a man built hi a home to resemble the Munsters Television shows house both inside n out. The owner offers tours for a price and only with a reservation. I only wanted to see the House which I found early on Saturday morning. There was a gate so I was only able to photograph it from the street. In my picture collection I have a Pic my dad took in the late 70's of the exact house at Universal Studios Hollywood. Absolutely loved this place. Whether you have seen the Munster's or not, Munster Mansion needs to be on your bucket list. You have to email to set up a date and tour time, otherwise the gates are kept closed. Tours are set for your group, no sharing your time with other groups. The attention to details in the mansion is amazing and we had quite a few discussions with Sarah about the floorplan and episodes of the Munster's during the tour. When you tour do not disturb Lily's housekeeping she has spent centuries decorating the mansion.
