āļøāļøāļøāļøāļø A Hidden Gem with Unforgettable Hospitality
We had the absolute pleasure of staying at Ken, Dawn, and their daughter Katlynās beautiful property, and it was the perfect way to kick off our summer girlsā trip. We arrived right at nightfall, and were warmly greeted at the front gate by the family themselves. To our surprise, they generously gave us a free upgrade to a breathtaking camping spot right on the beachāwhat a way to arrive!
Since it was dark when we settled in, we didnāt realize just how stunning the view was until we woke up the next morning. Their land truly is a hidden gemāpeaceful, pristine, and surrounded by nature. We camped on a Monday night and had the place entirely to ourselves. It was magical.
The hospitality shown by Ken, Dawn, and Katlyn was above and beyond. They gave us a tour of their incredible property, and we even got to go tubing down the river. We spotted wildlife like painted turtles, a graceful gray heron, baby ducks, and even a few deer.
The amenities were next-level luxurious. The bathrooms were spotless, thoughtfully decorated, and fully stocked with high-quality soap, shampoo, and lotion. The rain shower smelled like a spaāIāve honestly never felt so pampered while camping.
At the top of the hill, there was a charming little shop, lawn games, and a cozy fire pit area. Everything was so well thought out and welcoming.
On Tueaday afternoon, we accidentally locked ourselves out of our car as we were getting ready to leave. Their team jumped into action and helped us get back on the road. Their kindness, patience, and generosity truly made this experience unforgettable.
Thank you so much, Ken, Dawn, Katlyn, and the entire team. You made our stay feel so special. We will definitely...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreYou've been paddling down the Buffalo river for 10 hours, the sun is beating down on you and the hot Nashville summer air is beginning to induce a delirium that only an ice cold beer can solve.
You come around the bend and there it is, like a beacon of hope and hospitality, PuckerWilly's General Store, standing there like a Cherokee Shaman ready to alleviate whatever pain or discomfort had come over you since you first began your trip early that morning.
At first you aren't sure if you are hallucinating or if it's actually there, then you see the signs: "COLD BEER & HOT DOGS"
It's real...
You beach your canoe on the shore and leave your bag of half-cooked rations and empty beer-cans behind as you run up the hill, past the eating area where others are enjoying their drinks, right to the front door...
The cold A/C on your skin is a moment of blissful relief from the relentless ball of fire that governs the day from above, the stocked cooler is a sign of civility (no honorable man would let his beer cooler run dry), and the friendly demeanor of the people you encounter lets you know that you are exactly where you are supposed to be.
Maybe you'll stay for 20 minutes, maybe an hour, or maybe you'll never leave.
That's all up to you, but one thing I can promise is that I'll see you there...

Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis place in a lie! Please do not ever go here. I ended up with parasites from the river that has cows across from the camp site pooping and peeing in the river. This is not a camp ground it's a pasture with rocks everywhere. I paid 100 dollars a night to sleep on a washed out river bank that wasn't even leveled and had rocks all over, barely any grass. Kayakers by the dozen coming by from 10 to 4 so you swimm at you own risk with 20 to 30 kayackers at a time feet from camp.Had to walk up and incline of boat ramp to go from camp spot to baths and showers and store. Absolutely no service. The power to the entire camp ground went out while I was in the shower and almost got hurt. This was the worst experience I have ever had. Nothing about this place is right. They are not accommodating at all. I asked for batteries at the store. Was told they would go get some for me to buy from them. They forgot about it and said oh sorry I'll get them later and didn't. I had to travel to get own. The general store is so over priced I paid 30 dollars for a 12 pack. They had nothing but hotdogs and nachos. And charged 10 dollars for a hotdogs. Not to mention we had to leave early due to rain and they will not reschedule or refund. Do not go to this place. It's a...
