We just returned from a fantastic week-long stay at Lake Shore Village Resort. We traveled with another family, with a total of 5 boys and girls, ages 10-14. Our family occupied Cabin 15 (the one with the loft) and was very happy with our accommodations. Our friends stayed in Cabin 8 and were also satisfied.||||This was our fourth NH lake vacation, and it was by far, the best. The resort offers such a wide variety of activities for families that the kids were never bored. Families have an extensive choice of arts and crafts, swimming, tubing, waterskiing, a rope swing, beach volleyball, tetherball, boating, paddle boarding, kayaking and a full recreation center that offers an indoor pool and Jacuzzi, ping pong, pool and foosball. The beach was large and featured many lounge chairs, for those who prefer to get some sun and relax. Our cabin was fairly close to the beach, but was set far enough away that we also had privacy.||||Guests can select from smaller cabins or huge lake houses, depending on their needs and amount of travelers. The newest and largest lake houses are gorgeous, but are a distance from the beach, and are set high on a steep hill. I saw guests trudging up the path to those houses, but I THINK the resort might provide a golf cart to make the trips to and from the beach a bit easier for guests who can not handle the walk. ||||All cabins feature lovely views of the lake and come well-stocked with necessary kitchen essentials. The smaller cabins DO NOT have gas grills, but instead offer tiny charcoal grills, with no briquettes, lighter fluid or matches, which can be a bit of an inconvenience for families who plan on grilling hamburgers and hot dogs. Get that charcoal going early, so your kids aren't waiting an hour for a burger! I would recommend bringing a small propane grill to avoid this issue. Hopefully, the resort will invest in gas grills for the smaller cabins. The cabins also only come with two rolls of toilet paper, so bring some extra rolls!||||Cleanliness of the cabins was OK (and the reason why I gave the resort 4 instead of 5 stars). We had a issue with fruit flies in our kitchen, and a sofa bed mattress that was loaded with crumbs and a few CLEAN baby diapers that someone had left behind. The uncomfortable living room furniture wasn't the cleanest either, but we were aware it wasn't a five-star resort, so we didn't make an issue of it. I think the cleaning crews just need to spend a little more time preparing the cabins for the next guests.||||What makes Lake Shore Village stand out among other locations are the owners. Michael and his parents are wonderful people, who take a lot of pride in their property. They are friendly, laid back and extremely accommodating. They truly want their guests to be happy, and it appeared that everyone was! I loved the personal flavor their personalities gave the property, and one of the reasons we plan to return in the future.||||My husband and boys are still raving about how much fun they had...a sign of a great vacation! Thank you Michael...it was a pleasure to...
Read moreI cannot say enough good things about this place! We used LSVR as our wedding venue and it was such a magical experience. The staff, particularly Sarah, was perfect in helping us create a weekend getaway for our guests, most of whom were flying in from far-away states and countries. As people showed up, they remarked on the tranquil beauty and peace of the place and then we slowly took over... It felt like we had all lived there together on a commune for years already lol... The staff were SO accommodating in so many ways. It rained HARD and their last-minute changes and accommodations were so seamless I hardly noticed. The tent under the rain was beautiful and like a fairy tale. Everyone commented on how the rain actually enhanced the intimate experience. So anyone concerned about an "outdoor, beach wedding" can rest assured that this place has your back! We had enough "non-rainy weather" to enjoy kayaking, swimming, etc. We allowed kids at the wedding and they ended up having the best time running amok with other kids and it was just such a safe and enjoyable environment. Admittedly I had no idea what I was doing when it came to planning a wedding, but LSVR is ready to work with you and help, as they've obviously done this many times before. Sarah exudes a quiet calmness that is also 100% business and execution. So impressed! Thank you Michael and team for a weekend we will NEVER forget. After everything was over, people keep asking us "when is the reunion?" and I would love love love to spend another weekend at this beautiful place....
Read moreOur wedding was last weekend, September 17th, at Lake Shore Village Resort. Everything about the venue, from location to the people we worked with, could not have been more perfect. Erika, the venue coordinator was absolutely spectacular. She was so friendly and completely accessible, and responded to my (MANY) emails/calls thoroughly and in no more than 24 hours. She made our weekend completely stress free, and I am unbelievably thankful for that. We had the venue for the entire weekend, and each day was absolutely perfect. We had our rehearsal on the beach and rehearsal dinner in a small tented area off of the beach on Friday night, followed by a bonfire on the beach. Saturday while I (the bride) and my party were in our ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL cabin getting ready, I was able to watch our family and friends playing on the beach, taking kayaks and paddle boards out and around the lake and just genuinely having a good time. Our ceremony was right on the beach, and the reception was underneath the very spacious tented area. Our guests were in awe of the beautiful view, as were we. Sunday following the wedding, there was a delicious pancake breakfast back under the smaller tent. LSVR exceeded our wedding dreams tenfold. It was breathtaking in every aspect and having the venue for the whole weekend meant we could enjoy it even longer! Thank you to everyone at LSVR for helping to make our day absolutely unforgettable and more perfect than we could ever...
