JuneBug Asheville — Hotel in Weaverville

My husband and I got married in the treehouse on June 5th, 2021 and WOW! I am so honored to be the third treehouse bride at Junebug. We had the most beautiful intimate wedding with our closest friends and family.

I’ll start with the treehouse — unbelievably beautiful. As an out-of-town couple, we chose this venue based off of the pictures and videos. Seeing it in person right before the wedding only made it more magical. Pictures and videos truly do not capture how unique and special this hidden gem is.

Next, I can’t speak highly enough of Charlene and Tom. From our first meeting with Charlene, I knew she was extremely organized, thoughtful, and the person I wanted in charge of my wedding. Charlene and Tom treated my husband and I as good friends, we never felt as though we were just "another client.” Before we booked the wedding, my dad ended up being hospitalized due to Covid-19 for several weeks. They held our date during this time and were so patient and flexible with us as we navigated this challenge. Charlene and Tom have this perfect balance of laid-back and organized, which really put me at ease throughout the weekend. All of my questions were answered and all of the details were taken care of. For someone who gets overwhelmed with wedding planning, having Charlene handle flowers, catering, cake, music, tables/chairs, decorations, schedules, etc. was a dream!! I was still provided with choices and got to have significant input in these areas as well. Truly, I had minimal stress because of Charlene and Tom and my wedding felt personal and special — not at all generic or “one-size-fits-all”, despite being all-inclusive. This is difficult to achieve, and JuneBug nailed it!!! Additionally, Charlene is so familiar with the area and provided me excellent recommendations, including our photographer Tessa Woolworth from Folk & Wayfarer, who is amazing and far exceeded our expectations.

The location of the treehouse and JuneBug is perfect. I loved being tucked away up in the mountains and enjoying the beautiful summer evening. For our rehearsal dinner, we were able to experience downtown Asheville and visit all of the amazing breweries. We loved it so much, we may end up moving to NC one day!

The cake was exactly as I requested and so beautiful and delicious! The BBQ was delicious, all ready to go for guests. The flowers were gorgeous, all of the small details really enhanced our special day. Tom even pulled out his drone and got some shots during the wedding! I could go on and on about how blown away I was.

I will never forget my wedding weekend and how truly special it was. The treehouse at JuneBug exceeded my expectations in every way, and I cannot fully express how amazing the entire experience was! You will not regret getting married at JuneBug! My husband and I are already talking about wanting to come back and visit : )

From the moment I talked to Charlene Pagano at Junebug I knew this was where we would be married, little did I know how much more I would get than just a beautiful venue. Through the entire process, from navigating covid and family drama to deciding my flowers and cake Charlene was there holding my hand. When a loved one passed away she was empathetic, caring and beyond flexible, in a constantly changing situation she maintained clear communication with us at every step. We ended up switching from the larger venue by the charming flower field and stream, to the treehouse and have absolutely no regrets about our lovely micro wedding. The fact that Charlene was pretty much a wedding planner was the biggest relief in the world, especially when you’re trying to do it all yourself, I felt like I could go to her with anything. Both my husband and I were involved, but with how busy our lives are we loved that we were able to trust Charlene to make our dreams come true. The biggest surprise was when Junebug was chosen to be featured on Good Morning America, which is a huge honor, and then an even bigger surprise when Junebug chose us as their couple. It was an immediate yes as there was no doubt in my mind that while this was a big deal for Junebug and their future, there would be no compromise on the intimacy of my wedding. Everything went exactly as we imagined, and Charlene took so much care in making sure the integrity and uniqueness of our wedding was upheld. The all-star moment was when I got sick before dinner from lack of food and running myself ragged that day and days leading up to (I also hiked a mountain at 4am the morning of my wedding so that didn’t help). But Tom jumped into action finding my mother everything she needed to make a family drink recipe for nausea, which included driving to the office to get boiling water, lime juice and salt. It immediately worked and I was so incredibly thankful to continue to enjoy my special day thanks to the Pagano family. Not to mention Tom filming our entire ceremony and vows, because in all the chaos we forgot to bring a tripod. Going absolutely above and beyond their job scope, you can 100% trust Charlene and Tom with your big day! Junebug completely delivered on every promise, and our guests raved about the location, the cake, and the staff. My husband and I both agree, if we could do it again, we wouldn’t change a thing and it will always be a day we will relive in our hearts over and over again. Our wedding was straight out of a fairytale gorgeous, suspended in the trees with mountain views and delicate string lighting. What more could you want? The amount of gratitude we have for Charlene and Tom is endless! Thank you so much for being the amazing...

I'm a little behind in writing this review, got caught up in new jobs and moving, but better late than never!! (heads up.. this will be a long review.)

Let me start by saying, this venue is positively STUUUNNNNING. We had our wedding on 10/29/22 at the Tree house venue and honestly, if anyone is looking to do a micro wedding, which i HIGHLY recommend because it's so intimate and not nearly as stressful as a normal sized wedding, you should really consider having it here. The JuneBug Retro Resort Tree house is so unique and so beautiful - I promise you and your guests will rave about it for yeeaars to come.

The entire plot of land Charlene, her husband have created is one of a kind and their staff is truly incredible. I'm a pretty particular person in what i like and had a specific vision in mind for our big day, which I'm aware can be overwhelming at times, but never once did Charlene, or any of her staff make me feel like i was being annoying or too much, which was a relief because i was certainly insecure about that at times! They were always on top of things and very communicative every step of the way. On the day before/of our wedding we worked with Kelly and two other staff members (I'm unfortunately spacing on their names right now, I'm so sorry!!!) and they brought my visions to life. They were on top of everything and worked so hard, so smoothly. I was so taken back by how stunning they made the tree house and how detail focused Kelly was on getting it exactly how i desired everything to be. They seriously crushed it. Kelly is just a sparkling gem. She is sooo kind, hard working, funny and caring and really makes sure you are heard and TRULY cares about making sure you're happy with everything. The other two staff members were also sooo freaking incredible, omg i really cant gush enough about these three as individuals and as a team. Our ceremony was flawless and how they decorated our reception .... i swear my heart skipped a beat walking into it. Looking back at our photos now... I'm speechless. It was exactly what i pictured and we are so so so so happy.

DO NOT SLEEP ON THIS VENUE!! It's so affordable, so accommodating, and you'll have the best freaking time. Oh, I forgot to mention that if you worry about diet issues, they got you! I'm a pescatarian (mostly vegetarian) with Celiac, (Celiac being a new discovery) so sometimes i get some serious food anxiety about how things are prepared but they were great about it. They made sure that things were separated and made correctly! I can't thank them enough and I cant wait to visit again.
