Trinity Alps Resort — Hotel in Weaverville

Trinity Alps is the best place ever! I have been coming every since I was a kid. The cabins are rustic. I love it! That’s what people love when they come to Trinity. We love the old cabins, old cabin fixtures, the creaky floors, the mixed mashed cooking items and sleeping outside. People who come to Trinity for the first time, don’t always understand the history of the place. The cabins aren’t supposed to be new. It’s apart of the history of the resort. It’s what makes the resort a great place to visit. Trinity also has a lot of great fun activities. Bingo night is the best. Square dancing is really fun. I remember the teacher years ago back in the 90’s. He’s still is awesome as always. The kids love movie night and the bonfire. The swim hole is the best. The resturant and bar are fun too. I don’t drink but love going into the bar just to see people my family know, to hear the music, or go get popcorn. I also love the general store. It’s where I get all my unique jewelry. Ice cream in the general store is the best! For those who don’t like the resort, just don’t understand. If you haven’t been coming for years, you just don’t understand why Trinity Alps is for the rest of your life. It’s a unique and one of a kind place. Only certain people pass the Trinity test. My husband passed when I took him there for the first time. Hear so many stories of people bringing their boy friends or girlfriends and never bringing them back because they don’t like the place. It’s charming place with a lot of love. Each cabin is named after a County. When your at the resort it’s fun to talk about which cabin you stayed in over the years. I don’t want to go stay in a cabin with all the fancy amenities. I can simply go stay in a hotel for that. I don’t want a cabin that’s brand new with no character. I love Trinity for its charm and beauty surrounding it. I love going to the resort and running into people that have also been going to Trinity for 40 years or more. Don’t be fooled by the “fluff” fake reviews. This place is no gem. The cabins are extremely rundown and dirty! They've put zero money into the cabins in 50+Years and it shows (however they charge as if your staying at a 5 star hotel in Paris)! Worst of all the owner is very rude, abrasive, and greedy. You'll go home feeling ripped off. Female owner has no thought or respect for the new people who spend a thousand dollars to come stay for a few days. She acts like you’re bothering her, has no sense of customer service, treats everyone as an inconvenience! What happened to the good ol days when businesses actually appreciate your patronage??!! River water was freezing both times we visited, in different summer months. This place is way overpriced. We tried it twice, both times we were dissatisfied with the value. There are much better places close by who provide a better experience and appreciate...

The only reason why I am not giving it 5 stars(yet), is because I haven't stayed there personally. But I have been two years in a row for drinks, dinner and a walk around. It is a lovely magical place in the woods that I'd love to run away to every chance I get. I have had the opportunity to camp close by and was introduced by a close friend and I look forward to it every year now. They have a tradition that I have been lucky enough to partake in. This place is a gem and makes me feel like I am home! Great atmosphere, delicious food that fills you, delightful drinks to ease whatever tensions. And the gift shop is where I hope to work when I retire💚
