Visited the site in early June. The road from 97 is a well maintained gravel road with some spectacular views along the way. Areas of previous fires have left lots of standing deadwood which now looks like something from a sci-fi movie. The campsite is decent but the surrounding area is amazing. Lots of great hiking and exploring as well as access to some fun 4 wheel drive trails like 4W312.    Read moreThe gravel road getting there was in bad shape, deep pot holes, etc.. There were some dangerous areas with a few steep drop offs and very few shoulder areas to get over for oncoming traffic. Taking a truck/camper or large gooseneck LQ trailer is risky. The campsite itself is very nice and quiet. Would come back if road was repaired and safer. I would rate the campsite as 4-5 stars and the road 0 stars.
